Job Description
Daikin is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Product Content Specialist position. The Product Content Specialist will play a key role in how our customers consume product content as part of our e-commerce and digital transformation initiatives. Working as part of the Corporate Marketing PIM team for a multi-billion-dollar manufacturer, you will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product marketing, sales, procurement, logistics and IT to create urgency around customer data needs and prioritize data collection efforts. In addition, this role will work with business owners, data stewards, 3rd party vendors and technical staff to lead projects, research technologies, guide product content specialists, and provide subject matter expertise on assigned product categories and collaborate with internal and external business partners to gather and understand product attribute, image, and content requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
may include: Responsible for maintaining accurate and relevant product data, content, and digital assets for multiple product categories that will be used across the enterprise as well as in e-commerce catalogs. Understand our customers and work to develop compelling attribution and messaging that best captures the brand enabling cross-sell/upsell products for E-commerce. Maintain accurate documentation regarding information flow process for product data, content, and digital assets. Work cross-functionally with the Design Engineering, Product Marketing, and Technical Publications teams to support & sustain residential and/or commercial HVAC-related products content information. Support, maintain, and documentation ofPIM/OTMM
systems and processes. Monitor supplier compliance and provide guidance with supplier onboarding pertaining to item attributes, images, and content and monitor compliance. Work with product marketing and suppliers to develop an understanding of critical data needed to develop compelling long and short form copy and content for multiple channels. Seek continuous improvement of thePIM/OTMM
system and processes Performs other tasks as assignedNature & Scope:
Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutionsKnowledge & Skills:
Proven track record of working cross functionally and collaborating with other departments such as Marketing, Engineering, and IT Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge and understanding of the importance of product data for digital merchandising. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects Ability to perform data profiling, data mappings, data quality and validation, hierarchy management, match and merge rules and supporting data stewards. Knowledge of E-commerce preferred. Proven analytical skills and use of data query tools. Advanced level proficiency withMicrosoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience:
3-5 years of experience with product MDM or PIM system/data quality technologies in an HVAC, manufacturing, or similar Industry environmentEducation/Certification:
Bachelor's degree Stibo Certifications a plus and may be required post hire.People Management:
