If any business major is interested in a career in marketing, social media, event promotion, or project management, this is an opportunity to enhance your resume and earn valuable experience, while working alongside experienced marketing and project management professionals. Applicants should have a creative mindset and strong oral and written communication skills. Applicants should be team-oriented and humility and openness to learn. Job Duties and Responsibilities Student interns will work directly for the COB Director of Strategic Engagement and be responsible for: Completion of at least one Coursera Marketing training course with certificate Completion of academic requirements- if this course is for credit Assisting with social media platforms
- graphics development, photography, and a content creation calendar Attending events, meetings, or guest speakers to gather photos and content Brainstorming ways to reach target audiences Respond to comments and questions Opportunity to develop social content into promotional materials for ongoing events Help prepare, set up, and take down promotional items at events Assisting Student-Led Social Media Leadership Team Other opportunities based on the interest of the applicant hired Other tasks as assigned Skills Considered Essential to Success Teamwork Effective interpersonal communication, writing, and organizational abilities Ability to work collaboratively and independently with common goals as a part of a team Civility and positivity in all interactions of a public or confidential nature Flexibility, humility, patience, resilience, and the ability to work around competing priorities without losing momentum Required Education and/or Experience Business major in good academic standing Preferred College of Business major•Junior or Senior, who seeks experience to earn a job in the Marketing field Skills/Licenses/Certifications Not required•will be gained during internship During this internships, the student interns will gain: Skills to apply for a full-time marketing or content creation position Experience with Canva and other graphics development platforms Experience in business side of in major social platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok Experience with studio equipment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Independent editorial judgement Brand stewardship Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple content streams and production timelines simultaneously Strategic thinking•see beyond individual posts to understand how content decisions compound into channel presence and brand perception.
