Job Description
Marketing Intern at Valence AI Marketing Intern at Valence AI in El Verano, California Posted in 1 day ago.
Type:
intern Valence AI exists to close the gap between human experience and machine intelligence. We build voice-first emotion AI foundation models that power the emotional communication layer of AI systems to give them functional emotional understanding. AI alignment begins when systems understand not just intent, but impact. Our tech analyzes human voice in real time to understand what customers are actually feeling, not just what they are saying. Alongside APIs, our core products integrate our tech into voice agents, conversational analytics, and contact center applications. We work across sales, contact centers, and AI voice agents, helping teams communicate with more context, empathy, and precision. We are building at the center of a major shift in AI. As voice becomes a core interface, emotional intelligence will be one of the defining layers that separates generic systems from truly effective ones. Valence is helping shape that future, and we are looking for people who want real ownership in building it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will own Valence's content engine end to end: what we publish, how it performs, and what it looks like. You report directly to the CEO and ship weekly without waiting for a brief. Paid, part-time (15 to 20 hours a week, flexible around classes). San Francisco, in office preferred; hybrid considered for the right person. Immediate start. Strong performers will be considered for a full-time offer post-internship.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Run the and blog calendar from idea to published post Write posts, blog articles, case studies, and email in Valence's voice: precise, empathetic, direct, no filler Own GA4, Google and Ads, HubSpot, GEO, and SEO tracking, report monthly on what moved, and recommend what we change Produce social graphics, one-pagers, and short-form video in Canva, Figma, or similar Propose and run small growth experiments (formats, channels, hooks) and kill what does not work Bring what you learn from the audience back to the team

WHO YOU ARE
You write clearly and specifically, and you can show it You ship a draft and ask for feedback rather than waiting for a brief You can read and understand growth metrics, and you notice when a number changes You can make something look good in Canva or Figma without a designer You treat every post as an experiment and change what you do based on the data You have built or run part of a content workflow and can speak to it specifically You know how to use AI well without reproducing slop. Discernment is key
ALSO IMPORTANT
Currently enrolled or graduated within the last year Two writing samples, one of which can be a post. We will ask for them. Comfort with ambiguity. You have worked somewhere the process needed building, or you built your own Genuinely curious about AI, voice technology, and how emotion shapes human interaction Bias toward action
