Position Summary and Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director of Health Services and Director of Counseling Services, the Front Desk Assistant serves as the first point of contact for students and visitors, supporting daily operations and ensuring a welcoming, professional, and confidential environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist students and visitors, providing a welcoming and supportive front desk experience. Manage check-in processes, appointments, and phone/email inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain strict confidentiality of student health information in compliance with HIPAA and institutional privacy standards. Support daily office operations, including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate and organized records. Assist with health promotion initiatives, outreach efforts, and special events, as needed.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and acceptance into a McKendree University graduate program.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; (familiarity with social media, digital marketing, Adobe Creative Suite, or basic web editing preferred).

Preferred Qualification:

Previous clerical or office work. Work Conditions Ability to work up to 20 hours per week; nights and weekends required based on programming and department needs. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. (˜ 23 kg) and perform physical tasks related to event setup. Routinely stand during during events and programs.
