Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant Ball State University Athletics Muncie, Indiana Desired start date: August 1, 2026 About This Job Opportunity Ball State University Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for an Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant. This position supports the Marketing & Fan Engagement unit in developing and executing strategies to increase attendance, enhance the game-day experience, and promote Ball State Athletics programs, while adhering to all NCAA, MAC, and institutional guidelines. This is a full graduate assistantship position requiring 20 hours per week during the academic year. The position includes a stipend and tuition remission benefits. Graduate assistants must meet minimum GPA requirements for admission and maintain good academic standing, including enrollment in at least 6 graduate credit hours per semester. Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned sports: Develop and execute marketing plans and promotions, public address scripts, and fan engagement elements.
Support digital marketing efforts and creative content initiatives
Assist with sponsorship fulfillment and promotional partnerships
Help plan and execute special events and fan engagement strategies
Supervise student workers and interns as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned Compliance Adhere to all NCAA, MAC, and institutional policies and complete required trainings. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree completed prior to start date
Admission to a Ball State graduate program and ability to maintain eligibility
Availability for evenings and weekends based on event schedules
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications
Experience in athletics marketing, promotions, or event operations
Familiarity with social media and digital marketing platforms Compensation and Benefits
Tuition remission per Ball State Graduate School policy (includes up to 30 credit hours; student responsible for applicable fees)
$10,000 academic year stipend, paid biweekly (Hourly compensation is available for hours worked prior to the beginning of and/or after the conclusion of the academic year.
