Job Description

Quarto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Assistant to support our digital marketing and metadata efforts across all platforms. This role plays a key part in driving discoverability and sales for both frontlist and backlist titles by supporting paid campaigns, optimizing product listings, and maintaining best-in-class metadata practices.

As a member of the Digital Demand & Discoverability Team, the Digital Marketing Assistant will collaborate closely with colleagues across Marketing, Metadata, Sales, and Editorial. The ideal candidate is digitally savvy, analytical, eager to learn, and excited about publishing and consumer marketing.

Key ResponsibilitiesMetadata & Product Listing ManagementManage day-to-day updates to metadata, keywords, and product listings across digital retail platforms to ensure accuracy and optimization.

Support ongoing optimization of frontlist and backlist titles, including keyword updates, classifications, descriptions, author bios, and merchandising copy.

Conduct regular audits of Amazon and other retailer listings to ensure alignment with best practices.

Assist in maintaining keyword relevance post-launch, including adding trending or seasonal search terms.

Support updates to BISAC and Thema categories based on performance and newly available classifications.

Review marketing copy and metadata for quality, consistency, and accuracy.

Digital Campaign Execution & OptimizationAssist with the execution of paid digital marketing campaigns across Amazon, paid social, search, and display channels.

Support campaign setup, QA, trafficking, asset coordination, and link management.

Help implement and track A/B testing for creative, audiences, metadata, and keywords.

Support cross-channel tracking using UTMs, campaign tagging, and attribution.

Assist with email marketing efforts, including builds, QA, scheduling, and link tracking.

Amazon, Ecommerce & Affiliate SupportSupport Amazon initiatives such as A+ Content updates, keyword optimization, and product detail page maintenance.

Assist with Shopify updates, including product listings, landing pages, and merchandising execution.

Support affiliate program operations, including link creation, partner coordination, and performance tracking.

Coordinate creative and technical assets to ensure consistency across platforms.

Reporting, Analysis & InsightsPull and maintain regular performance reports across campaigns, retailers, and ecommerce platforms.

Assist in analyzing data from Amazon, Shopify, and Google Analytics to identify trends and optimization opportunities.

Flag insights, anomalies, and opportunities for the senior digital team.

Maintain testing documentation and assist with reporting on A/B test results.

Team Coordination & Operational SupportCoordinate assets, timelines, and workflows across Digital Marketing and Discoverability teams.

Maintain trackers, calendars, and documentation to improve team efficiency.

Support internal communication around launches, campaigns, and performance updates.

Provide general administrative and operational support to the digital marketing team as needed.

QualificationsRequiredBachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.12 years of relevant internship or professional experience in marketing, digital media, ecommerce, or publishing.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Digitally savvy, with interest or familiarity in digital marketing channels (Amazon, social media, email, ecommerce).Analytical mindset with comfort working with data and performance reports.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

PreferredFamiliarity with Amazon Vendor Central, advertising platforms, or Shopify.

Experience with email marketing platforms and/or basic HTML.Exposure to Google Analytics or similar analytics tools.

Experience with metadata, SEO, or keyword optimization.

Knowledge of Canva and/or Photoshop.

Experience or relationships with independent bookstores a plus.
