BSU's Undergraduate Research program provides students with opportunities in any major to discover new knowledge and make original contributions to their discipline or community. Undergraduate researchers gain highly valued experience and skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and communication — making them outstanding candidates for post-graduation competitive opportunities. Position Information
The Outreach & Marketing Internship in Undergraduate Research is a paid position for one or two student-researchers who are committed to making Undergraduate Research opportunities equitable and accessible to their BSU peers. The Internship has a flexible schedule for 5-10 hours per week. It includes creating and posting social media content about research opportunities, events, and grants; holding info sessions at LGCIE, the Pride Center, Student Accessibility Services (SAS), Commuter Services, and/or other locations where diverse groups of students gather; and speaking at Admissions events, in classes, and "snack chat" sessions. The Intern(s) will be invited to brainstorm and carry out new ideas for promoting Undergraduate Research and Honors opportunities in inclusive, equitable, and accessible ways.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester. Preferred Qualifications Experience with undergraduate research and/or Honors at BSU
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and accessibility
- Interest in promoting research and honors to diverse groups of peers
- Facility with creating social media content
- Capability for balancing working independently with asking for help when needed
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Willingness both to learn from and contribute knowledge to a team
