Job Description
Description We are seeking an outgoing, creative Marketing Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is built for someone who is comfortable being the face of our brand on camera and skilled at turning raw footage and ideas into polished, engaging content. You'll be at the center of our social media presence, appearing in videos, shooting and editing content, and creating graphics that bring our brand to life across digital platforms. Responsibilities Serve as an on-camera personality for social media videos, promotional content, and brand campaigns Shoot, edit, and produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, etc.) Design graphics for social media, digital ads, and promotional materials Manage day-to-day posting and scheduling across social media platforms Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm content ideas and campaign concepts Monitor social media engagement and stay current on platform trends and best practices Assist with on-location content shoots at events, in-store, or around the Grand Rapids community Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and content creation Requirements Education Pursuing a degree in marketing, graphic design, or a related field Experience Comfortable and confident appearing on camera Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; and Canva Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of modern advertising and marketing strategies a plus Knowledge of social media platforms and trends is a plus Skills Strong on-camera presence and communication skills Strong visual design skills and a keen eye for detail Excellent writing skills and ability to proofread marketing materials Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to problem solve Work Environment Mix of desk/computer work and on-location content shoots Some evening/weekend availability may be needed for events Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds at times Benefits Opportunity to build a strong personal portfolio of on-camera and content creation work Opportunity to develop skills in digital marketing, branding, and content creation Exposure to a dynamic and collaborative work environment Networking opportunities with industry professionals
