•Immigration internship with the Hacking Law Practice

•2L or 3L interested in paid immigration legal internship at a firm in St. Louis (Kirkwood Area).

Salary:

$15.00

•$17.00 per hour

Schedule:

On Site Monday

•Friday 8:30 AM

•5:00 PM Responsibilities An intern supports attorneys by assembling and organizing information for legal documents; researching law; writing reports and memoranda. Conduct legal research on various topics, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedent. Daily updates to attorney about assignment statuses. Other tasks as assigned by the operations department. Organize content on multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.). Download and transcribe YouTube videos for content repurposing. Help create content for email campaigns tailored to specific case types (e.g., asylum, family-based, employment-based, etc.). Assist with planning and executing community outreach initiatives. Support local marketing efforts and events. Coordinate speaking engagements and in-person appearances for the attorney. Assist with day-to-day tasks and administrative duties as needed. Help maintain organized files and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organization. Work closely with the attorney or bookkeeper to ensure receipts and expense reports are complete and properly coded/documented. Help with daily time management for attorney. Assist with office IT issues. Assist with coordinating with vendors (cleaning services, delivery services, etc.) as needed. Support with setting up and tidying meeting rooms before and after use. Help manage shared spaces such as kitchen, conference rooms, and common areas. Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing packages and mailings when necessary. Run occasional errands or handle time-sensitive office tasks. Requirements Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels Ability to effectively prioritize and organize tasks Ability to work both independently and as part of a team The ability to multitask, proactively resolve any issues that arise, and work effectively under pressure in order to meet deadlines Positive demeanor. Strong work ethic. Ability to learn new computer software quickly. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Goal and deadline oriented. Reliable vehicle and clean driving record. Show empathy and compassion to clients and put them at ease during their difficult time; Flexibility and adaptability. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
