Position Summary This position will work directly with the Marketing and Communications Department at the UNM Foundation, Inc.
Primary tasks include:
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with design/layout, writing and editing of documents and marketing materials.
- Uses online programs to lay out, schedule and monitor broadcast emails on behalf of the Foundation and other departments.
- Makes website updates, including changing, editing/proofing, and auditing web content.
- Regularly audits website for edits, current content, broken links, etc.
- Designs graphic elements, including, but not limited to, advertisements, documents, website images, social media images and other elements as needed.
- Under supervision/direction of Content Development and Digital Marketing Project Officer and/or Associate Managing Director, participates in social media communications to promote the Foundation's mission and vision.
- Communications by telephone, email and in person with internal and external customers to clarify and make decisions regarding broadcast email requests.
- Participates in photography and videography efforts for website, social media and other uses as identified by the Managing Director and/or Associate Managing Director.
- Basic office support work as assigned (forms preparation, research for purchasing projects, creating lists, creating spreadsheets, maintaining lists, etc.)
- May provide support for promotional special events.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to create graphic design from completion
- Knowledge of various graphic file formats
- Ability to work in job tracking software
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage time and establishing priorities
- Strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Strong written composition and editorial skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional, MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with WordPress, and/or HTML (preferred).
- Must respect and adhere to UNMF policies regarding the need for confidentiality of UNMF donors and colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Experience in professional working environment;
- Samples of original design, writing/editing examples, and, if available, photo, web and video examples.
