We partner with media companies across the country to produce "best of" contests. This means we work with small and medium-sized businesses to advertise and promote the best of the community in every market we are in. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team and help us maintain our "best of" contest data. Position Summary The Marketing Assistant provides administrative and creative support to the Marketing Department by assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives. This role helps ensure marketing projects are completed accurately, on time, and consistent with the company's brand standards. The Marketing Assistant supports digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, advertising, events, and promotional materials while maintaining organized marketing assets and assisting with day-to-day departmental operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Create, edit, and schedule content for social media platforms. Assist with the preparation, formatting, and distribution of email marketing campaigns (e-blasts). Support digital advertising initiatives, including digital display campaigns and online promotions. Coordinate billboard and print advertising projects with internal departments and vendors. Assist in creating marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations, advertisements, and promotional pieces. Proofread marketing content to ensure accuracy, consistency, grammar, and brand standards. Update website content as directed. Organize and maintain digital marketing assets, including logos, photos, graphics, videos, and marketing files. Track project deadlines and assist with maintaining marketing calendars. Coordinate requests from internal departments and gather information needed for marketing projects. Assist with event planning, promotional activities, and company-sponsored events. Compile marketing metrics and assist with campaign reporting. Communicate professionally with vendors, partners, and internal team members. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information. Perform general administrative support for the Marketing Department. Complete other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Experience One (1) to two (2) years of marketing, administrative, communications, or related experience preferred. Internship experience may be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Strong proofreading and editing skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
Technical Skills Preferred experience with:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Canva Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus Social media management platforms Email marketing software Content Management Systems (CMS) Basic website editing Digital file management systems
