Job Description As a Specialist I, Targeted Marketing at The GIANT Company, you will support the execution of targeted marketing programs that address key business needs beyond standard promotional activity. In this role, you will assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of SPAC initiatives for competitive responses, new store openings, remodel re ‑ grand openings, and other high ‑ visibility strategic events. Reporting to the Partnership and Targeted Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with cross ‑ functional partners to ensure targeted marketing efforts are timely, insight ‑ driven, brand ‑ aligned, and connected to the company's broader digital and omnichannel strategies. You will contribute to program design, workflow coordination, performance tracking, budget support, and continuous improvement efforts across all SPAC marketing activities. Job Responsibilities Strategic Support and Program Coordination Support the development and execution of targeted marketing activities for competitive responses, new store openings, remodel re ‑ grand openings, and other strategic events. Translate business needs into actionable tasks by gathering inputs, reviewing data, and preparing materials that inform targeted marketing plans. Assist in maintaining SPAC program timelines, task lists, and coordination documents to ensure milestones are met. Provide day ‑ to ‑ day support to internal partners by answering questions, sharing updates, and ensuring alignment with established program direction. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Coordinate with merchandising, operations, digital experience, media, creative, and local marketing teams to support cohesive campaign execution. Participate in cross ‑ functional meetings by preparing materials, capturing action items, and ensuring follow ‑ through on assigned tasks. Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to the Partnership & Targeted Marketing Manager for escalation as needed. Campaign Execution and Workflow Support Assist in the development of creative briefs, targeting inputs, content requests, and channel recommendations for SPAC campaigns. Review campaign materials for accuracy, brand alignment, and compliance, escalating issues to the manager when necessary. Support workflow improvements by documenting processes, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending enhancements to streamline execution. Analytics and Performance Monitoring Track campaign KPIs, competitive activity, and performance metrics to support program evaluation. Prepare post ‑ campaign reports, summarizing results, insights, and opportunities for improvement for manager review. Monitor market trends and competitor actions, flagging items that may require targeted marketing response. Budgeting and Vendor Support Assist with SPAC budget tracking by updating forecasts, monitoring spend, and reconciling invoices. Support vendor and agency coordination by managing deliverables, timelines, and documentation. Help ensure resources are allocated appropriately by maintaining project trackers and workload summaries. Governance and Documentation Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and version control for all SPAC initiatives. Ensure campaign materials adhere to brand, legal, and compliance standards by conducting initial reviews and routing for approvals. Support the maintenance of program playbooks, templates, and reference materials. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of marketing strategy, digital channels, and local marketing tactics. Ability to interpret data and insights to support targeted marketing recommendations. Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Effective communication skills, including preparing presentations and summarizing insights for leadership. Proficiency with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and campaign management systems. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and work within established processes. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Experience 3-5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, campaign management, or targeted promotional strategy. Experience leading projects or teams, either directly or through cross‑functional influence. Retail, grocery, or multi‑unit environment experience strongly preferred.
