Job Description
Position Summary The Goddard School ® is a leader in early childhood education, dedicated to providing a nurturing and academically rich environment for young learners. Our Franchise Development Marketing Team supports the growth of the Goddard network by identifying prospective franchisees and providing them with compelling, high-quality user experiences to drive engagement, generate leads, and open more schools. We are seeking a creative, motivated Marketing Intern to support our Franchise Development Marketing Team. This role is ideal for a student or early-career marketer interested in social media, content creation, digital marketing, and the inner workings of a national franchise system. You'll work directly with the Franchise Development Content Marketing Manager to help scale our marketing efforts, generate leads, and attract prospective franchisees. You will gain hands-on experience producing real marketing assets including articles, videos, social media posts, and campaign materials that contribute directly to our franchise growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation (40%): Assist in writing, editing, and publishing blog posts, articles, and website content for franchise prospects. Support the development of short-form and long-form video content (simple video editing, storyboarding, b-roll gathering, interviews). Play a role in publishing and optimizing video content for YouTube and our franchising website. Prepare content for email campaigns, newsletters, and digital collateral. Social Media Marketing (30%) Create social media posts tailored to franchise development audiences (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit). Draft captions, source visual assets, and help maintain a publishing calendar. Assist in monitoring performance and identifying optimization opportunities. Lead Generation & Campaign Support (20%) Assist in building digital advertising assets, landing page content, and nurturing workflows. Take part in conducting competitive research and prospect persona research. Track campaign metrics and maintain reporting dashboards as needed. Franchise Development Support (10%) Help organize marketing assets, maintain brand consistency, and support special projects related to franchise recruitment. Participate in brainstorms to contribute fresh ideas for content, video, messaging, and social engagement. Experience and Competencies Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, multimedia, digital media, or related field. Strong writing and communication skills Interest in marketing, social media, or content creation Basic familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram) Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Attention to detail and willingness to learn Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience with Canva or image/video editing tools Understanding of AEO/SEO basics Familiarity with HubSpotCMS & CRM
