Internship Duration:
Sept - December 2026
Schedule:
Flexible, 10-15 hours per week (M-F during business hours, to be established in communication with Business Development Director)

Position Description:
As a Marketing Intern at The Foundry, you will play a key role in the marketing of The Foundry's business development programs. Your responsibilities include assisting in the development of promotional materials, social media campaigns, and various marketing collateral. Additionally, you will contribute to the marketing and branding support for individuals enrolled in The Foundry's programs as time allows. This internship is part of a larger collaboration between The Foundry and The Exchange with support from the Regional Revitalization Partnership - connecting entrepreneurs to resources on the east side.
Duties:
Develop promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, presentations, digital graphics, signage, and other marketing collateral for The Foundry's programs. Create, schedule, and manage social media content using Buffer, including graphics, photography, video, reels, and written content that promotes The Foundry's programs. Tell the stories of entrepreneurs, makers, youth participants, and community partners by capturing interviews, photos, videos, and success stories that highlight their businesses, projects, and accomplishments across social media, newsletters, the website, and other communications. Collaborate with Foundry staff to plan and implement marketing campaigns, attend marketing strategy meetings, maintain a content calendar, and coordinate promotional efforts across departments. Support the promotion and documentation of workshops, markets, community events, and special initiatives through on-site photography, videography, content creation, and event marketing.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a college student within Erie County. Major in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative mindset with an interest in innovative marketing strategies. Familiarity with social media platforms and inexpensive marketing tools such as Canva. Design and/or copywriting skills are helpful.
