Just Like Home, LLC operates small, residential memory care homes in Shelton that provide personalized care for individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other memory-related conditions. home office is in Stamford.
This is a hybrid position:
working from home. Stamford and Shelton. Must have a car. We are seeking a highly organized, technology-savvy Summer Intern who enjoys creating systems, documenting processes, and using technology to improve business operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented "Type C" personality—someone who thrives on accuracy, structure, organization, and process improvement. Position Overview The Summer Operations & Marketing Intern will work directly with owner to help organize and document company standard operating procedures, improve business systems, support marketing efforts, and manage data within company software platforms. This role combines administrative, technology, documentation, and marketing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly proficient with computers, enjoys creating manuals and procedures, has experience with ActiveCampaign or similar CRM/email marketing platforms, for social Media and can work independently with minimal supervision. ResponsibilitiesOperations & Documentation Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assist in developing and maintaining the company House Manual Document workflows and business processes Organize digital files and company documentation Create forms, checklists, and operational templates Review and improve existing policies and procedures Technology & Systems Enter and maintain information in proprietary software systems Track operational data and reporting metrics Assist with software implementation and optimization projects Maintain organized digital records and databases Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology Marketing & Communications Assist with social media content creation and scheduling Support email marketing campaigns through ActiveCampaign Help maintain company marketing materials Track marketing performance and engagement metrics Create simple graphics, presentations, and promotional materials Assist with special projects as assigned Prepare reports and summaries for management Attend occasional meetings at company locations QualificationsRequired Strong computer and technology skills Excellent organizational and documentation abilities Strong written communication skills High attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Reliable transportation for travel to Shelton and Stamford locations Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace Preferred Experience with ActiveCampaign or other CRM/email marketing platforms Experience writing SOPs, manuals, or process documentation Social media management experience Experience with project management software Business, Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, or Healthcare Administration coursework Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is: Detail-oriented and process-driven Analytical and highly organized Comfortable working independently Strong with systems, procedures, and documentation Interested in technology and business operations Able to balance multiple projects simultaneously Professional, dependable, and self-motivated What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in healthcare operations Exposure to senior care and residential memory care management Experience developing professional SOPs and business documentation CRM and marketing automation experience Project management and operational improvement skills Direct mentorship from business ownership A portfolio of completed business process and marketing projects To apply, please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter describing your experience with technology, documentation, and any CRM or marketing software you have used.
