The Center for Social Impact is seeking a creative, self-directed Marketing & Engagement Associate to join our team. This paid position offers hands-on experience in marketing, storytelling, digital content creation, and experiential engagement design. Associates will play a central role in shaping how students encounter the Center for Social Impact—both in-person through interactive, exhibit-style outreach and online through dynamic, student-centered social media content.
Start Date:
August 1, 2026 (can work remotely until beginning of fall semester)
Hours:
10-15 hours per week Design and execute engaging, interactive "experiences" that function as mini-exhibits to educate students about the Center for Social Impact (social impact pathways, programs, and opportunities). Create, film, and edit short-form video content for the Center's social media platforms, highlighting events, student engagement, and social impact storytelling. Take ownership of weekly outreach strategy, including ideation, setup, facilitation, and evaluation of student engagement efforts. Support the planning and execution of Center events, with a focus on participant experience, storytelling, and brand consistency. Collaborate with Center staff and Impact Fellows to translate complex social impact concepts into accessible, engaging content for students. Track engagement metrics (e.g., sign-ups, interactions, feedback) and help refine outreach strategies based on what resonates most. Maintain and evolve outreach materials, ensuring they remain fresh, relevant, and aligned with the Center's mission and goals. Must be a currently enrolled UVU student. Ability to stand for short periods of time and help with event setup, takedown, and display arrangements. What We're Looking For Creativity and initiative—someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life and experimenting with new approaches Interest in marketing, design, communications, or social impact work Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for engaging with diverse student audiences Ability to work both independently and collaboratively A desire to take ownership of projects and contribute meaningfully to the Center's visibility and impact Organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with UVU campus culture and student life is a plus. Experience with event planning, marketing, or outreach is preferred but not required. Punctuality and reliability are essential.
