Description and Requirements General Description:
Assist regional Marketing Specialists with marketing/placement of new business with partner insurance carriers. Includes completing post-binding activities before transitioning the client to the account management team. Support commercial lines producers by completing technical resource tasks to secure new business.Responsibilities:
- Assist regional Marketing Specialists with new business submissions. Review, input, submit, and accurately document in agency management systems.
- Help with preparation of applications, schedules, and summaries of insurance.
- Assist Marketing Specialists with quotes. Includes online via carrier rating tools or submitting to underwriter.
- Assist with completing marketing summaries and proposals. Includes outlining terms, rates, commission, and binding order documents/subjectivities.
- Request information from insurance carriers such as loss runs.
- Provide various proof of insurance documents. Includes auto ID cards, certificates of insurance, and evidence of property insurance forms.
- Invoice clients, including fee and premium finance agreements and complex invoicing.
- Assist with Surplus Lines documentation.
- Complete Workers' Compensation Experience Modification analyses in Mod Master or other similar resource.
- Complete Property Valuation reports via Marshall and Swift or other similar resource.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems and technology platforms.
- Meet service standards and best practices developed by USI.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial property & casualty insurance agency. Comprehensive understanding of all property & casualty insurance coverages, placement, underwriting, and rating concepts.
- Must hold or be willing to earn state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Experience with insurance carrier systems for submission and quoting.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Experience Modification analysis tools and Property Valuation tools a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
- Sales driven and solution oriented to help meet production and growth goals.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate work.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain relationships with sales team, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
