Part-Time Marketing Associate Better Business Bureau of El Paso El Paso, TX Job Details Part-time $25,000 a year 16 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Customer communication Interpersonal skills Customer service English Community relationship building Time management Full Job Description Position Summar y The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the organization's marketing, communications, member engagement, and event initiatives. This position serves as a key liaison between the organization, Accredited Businesses (ABs), community partners, media outlets, and the public. The Marketing Associate will coordinate monthly meetings and events, assist with member retention efforts, manage communications, and support strategic marketing objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Event Coordination & Member Engagement Coordinate and secure speakers for monthly networking and educational meetings. Facilitate monthly meetings and assist with event logistics. Coordinate nominations, script writing and market messaging to drive attendance and secure event sponsors along with related activities for special events and awards programs (to include Inc. insert). Assist with planning and execution of mixers, networking events, special events, and recognition programs. Conduct welcome calls to new Accredited Businesses and support member retention initiatives. Attend community expos, outreach events, and other organizational functions as assigned; to include before and after-hour events as well as occasional weekends. Marketing & Communications Conduct media interviews and serve as a representative of the organization when appropriate. Support media relations and public awareness campaigns. Coordinate and participate in radio interviews and other promotional opportunities. Prepare and distribute press releases and media communications. Maintain BBB website and social media presence by posting photos and highlights from local events and organizational activities (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). Ensure marketing activities align with organizational branding and marketing directives. Coordinate communications with Accredited Businesses (ABs) and prospective non-Accredited Businesses. Manage email communications, announcements, newsletters, and event promotions. Reporting & Strategic Support Compile and maintain marketing, engagement, event, and retention metrics. Prepare reports and track performance indicators as assigned. Participate in strategic planning initiatives and support organizational goals. Assist with special projects, community outreach efforts, and organizational initiatives. Organizational Compliance & Procedures Follow all organizational policies, procedures, standards, and established workflows. Adhere to approved communication protocols, branding guidelines, and operational processes. Maintain confidentiality of organizational, member, and business information. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and excellent customer service in all interactions. Support organizational goals and objectives through consistent adherence to company processes and procedures. Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Strong public speaking, facilitation, and presentation skills. Experience coordinating events, meetings, or community programs preferred. Experience with social media platforms, email marketing, public relations, and media relations. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business software applications (Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Create Suite etc.). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills. Physical Requirements Ability to attend community events, meetings, expos, and networking functions. Ability to occasionally lift and transport event materials up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel locally as needed. Other Duties Support team initiatives and organizational objectives as directed by the President & CEO. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Remain flexible and responsive to changing organizational needs and priorities.
