A Marketing Assistant or Associate coordinates marketing and advertising activities for a company. Works to promote a company image and assists with developing and implementing marketing strategies. Interacts with customers and vendors, selects advertising outlets, organizes materials and logistics for trade events or conferences.
Fall 2026 The Media Research Center's paid internship is the premier program for students looking to advance their career in conservative media. Interns work alongside industry professionals to play an active role in accomplishing the MRC's mission: to expose and neutralize left-wing media bias. As a NewsBusters intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to one of the nation's most widely read conservative blogs, NewsBusters. Interns will be assigned a daily beat of liberal TV shows and print/online outlets to monitor for political bias. They will be expected to craft blogs designed to get the maximum amount of exposure possible.
Qualifications of a NewsBusters intern:
Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly in writing Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative research Desire to combat media bias and communicate truth to news consumers Ability to meet deadlines As a Development intern, you will gain valuable experience in fundraising, events preparation and planning, and database administration. The Media Research Center has a complex database of supporters who give at the individual and foundation level: regularly and once-in-a-lifetime. Development interns learn the operations of a nonprofit that keep its programs functioning. Qualifications of an MRC Development intern: Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly in writing A passion for nonprofit work and a desire to promote MRC's mission to supporters A willingness to work with donors, both by phone and email in order to meet needs Possible experience in fundraising, grant writing, or database maintenance would be helpful, but not required As a Graphic Design intern, you will assist the design team in promoting MRC's vision through our products and branding. Interns will have the opportunity to create web ads, email graphics, social media graphics, and printed marketing materials. Qualifications of an MRC Graphic Design intern: Completed 2 years of college coursework (preferred) Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Figma (Is a plus) Must have a portfolio that showcases design design fundamentals (color theory, typography, layout) Attention to detail Ability to receive feedback and multitask on multiple projects Ability to design print (brochures, postcard, promotional material) and digital products (social media graphics, webs ads) As a Government Affairs intern you will gain valuable experience in the behind-the-scenes management of outreach contacts and efforts. Our Government Affairs division handles relationships between political and organizational allies, and all of your assistance will feed directly into best practices for managing our contacts as well as understanding the foundation of building and maintaining these relationships with allies. Qualifications of an MRC Government Affairs intern: Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly in writing Knowledge or desire to learn more about collaborative efforts across the conservative movement Ability to research and think creatively Ability to self-start and meet deadlines As a Free Speech America intern, you will gain valuable experience combating online censorship and promoting conservative values. Interns will monitor bias and censorship across social media platforms and major news apps. Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly Ability to research and think creatively Ability to research and think creatively As an MRC Legal Fellow you will play an active role in legal analysis, research and writing for the Censorship Investigation Project. Legal fellows will facilitate legal research efforts, with a special focus on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIAs). As a Marketing intern, you will have the opportunity to work and learn about digital messaging. The interns will work with the various MRC social media platforms including Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, and more. Marketing interns will learn project reporting, find and share quote graphics, and monitor/clip videos from events and post them to the MRC social channels. Qualifications of an MRC Marketing intern: Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly in writing Understanding of social media and email as grassroots marketing tools If interested in graphic design, a potential intern will be able to display past work in graphics or design material Ability to meet deadlines As an MRCTV intern, you will be writing as a blogger for MRCTV. You will have the chance to research, pitch, and write on topics that mainstream media avoids. There could be occasions to attend and cover events in the D.C. area. Depending on departmental needs, you will also have the opportunity to assist with video production.

Ability to meet deadlines As a CNSNews intern, you will be credentialed on Capitol Hill where you will ask members of Congress and VIPs tough questions, file stories on deadline, and see them published and promoted, reaching more than 1 million readers per week.
