ROLE SUMMARY
Landscape Workshop, a rapidly growing, dynamic company backed by Ares Management, is seeking a Director of Marketing to build and operate a high-performance, ROI-driven marketing engine. This role is accountable for generating qualified leads, accelerating conversion, and enabling the business development team to drive revenue growth. The Director of Marketing will prioritize investments based on measurable return, ensure seamless lead flow into the sales organization, and support key growth initiatives including M&A integration and recruiting. This position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and oversees digital marketing, SEO, and paid channel execution and will have a direct report focused on AI/search engine optimization and digital ads.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Drive Lead Generation (Highest ROI Focus) Own and optimize lead generation strategy across highest-return digital channels (Generative Engine Optimization (AI), SEO, paid search, industry platforms) Allocate marketing spend based on performance, cost per lead, and ROI Manage and continuously improve website, SEO, and digital campaigns to maximize inbound demand - blogs, social media Track and report on lead performance metrics, adjusting strategy in real time 2. Enable Lead Conversion and Follow-Up Ensure timely and accurate lead routing to the business development team Establish and monitor lead management processes (speed-to-lead, responsiveness, conversion tracking) Partner with sales leadership to improve funnel conversion rates 3. Equip the BDM Team to Close Business Deliver high-quality sales enablement materials (presentations, proposals, flyers, collateral) Maintain ready-to-deploy marketing assets (business cards, swag, promotional inventory) Support events, trade shows, and field marketing efforts to generate and advance pipeline Maintain memberships in specified trade organizations 4. Support Growth Through M&A Integration Partner with M&A team to align ads, website, and messaging for acquired businesses Integrate acquisitions into Landscape Workshop's marketing infrastructure and demand generation channels Support rapid onboarding of new markets and brands 5. Support Recruiting and Talent Pipeline Develop and deploy recruiting marketing campaigns and collateral Align employer branding with hiring needs to support field and corporate recruiting Leverage marketing channels to support candidate pipeline generation 6. Provide Business Support (Operational Marketing) Deliver high-quality internal and operational collateral across departments Manage internal and customer communications (newsletter, surveys, NPS) Coordinate vendors, freelancers, and project execution to meet timelines and quality standards 7. Maintain Brand Presence Manage social media, blog, and content marketing efforts Ensure consistent brand voice and positioning Act as a brand ambassador for Landscape Workshop
EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES
4+ years of B2B marketing experience with a strong focus on digital marketing and lead generation Proven expertise in SEO, paid channels, and website optimization and curiosity and initial experience with Generative Engine Optimization (AI) Experience supporting sales teams with collateral and events Strong analytical mindset with ability to measure performance, optimize investments and manage a budget Ability to operate in a fast-growing, high-accountability environment - hands-on and with a growth mindset Software and Online Tool Requirements Google Analytics, Social Analytics Graphic Design programs (PhotoShop, InDesign, etc.) or online tools (Canva) experience Excel and other Microsoft Office programs Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related degree Alternatively, will also consider bachelor's degree and direct marketing experience
