A growing Arizona-based behavioral health organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Digital Marketing to lead digital growth initiatives and support admissions through high-performing digital strategy. We are seeking a Director of Digital Marketing who brings strategic thinking, technical expertise, creativity, and a strong understanding of healthcare marketing.
Compensation:
$85,000-$130,000 annually, depending on experience

Full-time About the Role As the Director of Digital Marketing, you will lead all digital marketing strategy and execution for the organization's website and digital platforms, including SEO, website management, content strategy, online reputation management, and digital analytics. Reporting directly to leadership, you will serve as the internal expert on how digital channels drive admissions and brand growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SEO
Strategy & Execution Own all on-page and technical
SEO:
keyword research, content optimization, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and local SEO across all locations. Track rankings, organic traffic, and conversion performance and drive measurable growth. Stay current on Google algorithm updates, especially as they relate to healthcare and YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content. Website Management & Development Maintain and improve company website (WordPress / Divi). Manage site performance, landing pages, UX improvements, and conversion rate optimization. Coordinate with outside developers when needed for larger technical projects. Ensure site uptime, security, and accessibility compliance. Content Strategy Develop and oversee a content calendar that builds topical authority across the full patient journey: detox, residential, PHP, IOP, MAT, and aftercare. Brief and edit freelance writers; ensure all content meets HIPAA and LegitScript standards. Optimize existing content regularly for freshness and ranking performance. Reputation Management Manage Google Business Profiles and review generation strategy across all locations. Respond to reviews in a HIPAA-compliant manner. Develop ethical, sustainable review acquisition processes. Monitor brand sentiment and flag concerns to leadership. Analytics & Reporting Own GA4, Google Search Console, and call tracking platforms. Build dashboards that connect digital KPIs to admissions outcomes — not vanity metrics. Report to leadership monthly on channel performance, organic traffic, and lead quality. Vendor & Agency Oversight Manage any retained external vendors (PPC, design, PR). Evaluate performance and make recommendations on in-house vs. outsourced functions over time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 2 years in healthcare, behavioral health, or addiction treatment.
Proven SEO track record:
demonstrated organic traffic and ranking growth for competitive healthcare keywords. Hands-on experience with WordPress (Divi or similar page builders), including performance optimization and basic
HTML/CSS.
Proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one SEO platform (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz). Familiarity with Google's Sensitive Advertiser category restrictions for addiction treatment and LegitScript certification requirements. Working knowledge of HIPAA as it applies to digital marketing, review responses, and patient communications. Strong written communication skills; ability to brief, edit, and oversee content writers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with call tracking platforms (CallRail, Invoca) and CRM integration for lead attribution. Background in managing or overseeing Google Ads / PPC campaigns for addiction treatment. Familiarity with AHCCCS, insurance billing language, and how payer mix affects admissions marketing. Personal connection to or passion for the recovery community. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
