08 Months with possibility of extension Role Overview The Finance Manager will oversee the planning, tracking, and reporting for Global Merchandising Brand Incubation budget and Global Merchandising Opex . The role involves collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to resolve business issues, optimize funding, manage risks, and identify opportunities. Key responsibilities include delivering executive-ready reports, strengthening controls, and driving process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and transparency. This role is particularly suited for someone with retail finance experience, strong global budgeting skills, advanced Excel proficiency , and the ability to operate across multiple regions with complex currency considerations. Key Responsibilities 1. Global Incubation Track spend by country/region and brand. Partner with regional teams monthly to review actuals, resolve issues, and align forecasts. Prepare executive-ready updates for global leadership. Streamline invoicing, accruals, and budget tracking. 2. Global Merchandising Opex Track operating expenses (including travel and team expenses). Identify trends and variances, recommend corrective actions, and resolve issues. Produce monthly reports and rolling forecasts for Global Merchandising leadership. 3. Business Partnership Build relationships with Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing teams globally and regionally. Translate business priorities into financial insights and actionable recommendations. 4. Strategy & Enablement Maintain knowledge of global merchandising strategies and calendars. Anticipate funding needs and reporting requirements. 5. Forecasting Cadence Lead key financial processes, including annual budgets, bi-annual forecasts, and monthly internal forecasts. Ensure all assumptions are documented and aligned across teams. 6. Analysis Conduct ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support leadership decisions. Synthesize data into clear conclusions and actionable recommendations. 7. Process Improvement Evaluate current processes and tools. Implement improvements to reduce manual effort, enhance data quality, and strengthen controls. Core Competencies Action-oriented and proactive. Strong attention to detail. Requirements Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. 5-10+ years of progressive finance experience (retail and/or global enterprise experience strongly preferred). Experience managing end-to-end budget cycles, variance analysis, and forecasting. Experience with multi-currency planning and reporting, including FX conversions. Strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to influence without authority. Flexibility to accommodate global partners, including calls outside standard business hours. Final candidates will complete an Excel work sample and live defense (using core Excel features only: tables, pivots, formulas; no Power Query or macros).
