The Associate Brand Manager will play a key role in supporting the growth and management of Alpha Group's toy portfolio in North America. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Marketing, this individual will help drive brand strategy, portfolio planning, innovation, and go-to-market execution while serving as a key business partner to the Sales Team. This is a high-impact role designed for a future Brand Manager. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a passion for brands and consumer products, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable business opportunities. This role is intended for a high-potential marketer looking to grow into a Brand Manager position, with opportunities to take on increasing ownership of brand strategy, portfolio management, and business performance over time. As an Associate Brand Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping brand strategy, identifying growth opportunities, leveraging consumer and market insights, and helping drive the success of our expanding toy and entertainment portfolio. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Head of Brand & Marketing to support portfolio strategy, product positioning, pricing, and competitive analysis across the toy portfolio. Assist in developing 3-5 year brand roadmaps, identifying opportunities for innovation, line expansion, and long-term growth. Build expertise in assigned brands with the goal of assuming full ownership of one or more brands as the business grows. Conduct market share, category, competitive, and gap analyses to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Analyze Circana, POS, retailer, and consumer data to develop actionable business recommendations. Own consumer and play pattern insights, monitor industry and consumer trends, conduct store checks, and provide regular market intelligence reports to leadership. Manage entertainment and movie release calendars, identifying opportunities to capitalize on relevant cultural and entertainment moments. Support brand planning by providing recommendations on packaging, messaging, product features, and consumer-facing storytelling. Assist with forecasting, pricing strategies, SKU productivity analysis, and portfolio optimization. Manage relationships with external agencies, including project coordination, timelines, approvals, budgeting, and invoicing. Support influencer marketing initiatives and help develop programs that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, and retail sales. Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and execution. Contribute to Toy Fair preparations, retailer presentations, and key customer meetings. Serve as a strategic partner and right-hand resource to Brand & Marketing leadership, supporting priority initiatives across the business. Manage a portfolio of brands and contribute to achieving annual revenue, margin, and market share objectives. Who You Are You are a strategic and analytical marketer with a passion for brands, consumer products, and the toy industry. You take ownership, proactively identify opportunities, and leverage data-driven insights to make informed business decisions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex business challenges, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to drive brand growth and innovation. 5+ years (3+ years with an MBA) of brand management, product marketing, category management, product development, or consumer products experience. Experience in toys, games, entertainment, licensing, franchise marketing, or consumer products preferred. Experience working with licensors and entertainment properties is highly desirable. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with Circana, POS data, forecasting, pricing analysis, and SKU productivity evaluation. Strong business and financial acumen, with an understanding of revenue drivers, margin targets, portfolio management, and category performance. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative. Passionate about brands, consumer products, and the toy industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
