Our team is seeking a Director of Product Marketing, Adoption Content & Experiences to shape how businesses understand, adopt, and realize value from Microsoft 365 Copilot. This leader will own product narratives, content strategy and development, and the adoption hub web experience-creating differentiated, high-impact customer experiences that accelerate adoption. We are looking for a deeply strategic, detail-oriented, and highly hands-on storyteller who combines strong knowledge of AI business solutions with exceptional editorial judgment, product curiosity, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. This leader will translate complex product capabilities and customer insights into distinctive narratives, actionable guidance, and polished experiences that move customers to action. Responsibilities Audience Obsession & Customer Insight Deeply understand customer research, telemetry, field feedback, and market signals to uncover adoption pain points, unmet needs, and barriers with precision.

Build nuanced audience insights across executive, business, technical, and end-user personas, including motivations, maturity, readiness, and moments of friction.

Turn audience and adoption insights into differentiated narratives, content strategies, and guidance that move customers from awareness to sustained use and measurable value. Strategic Storytelling & Narrative Leadership Develop and shape innovative, audience-first stories that turn complex technology, research, and product capabilities into memorable narratives that inspire action.

Create differentiated points of view and content franchises that break through crowded content streams, demonstrate strong editorial judgment, and deliver distinctive value to target audiences.

Connect customer pain points and business priorities to product capabilities through deeply researched, actionable narratives, frameworks, and guides that accelerate adoption. Content Strategy & Editorial Excellence Build and scale audience-led content strategies across direct-to-customer experiences, including web, lifecycle programs, learning platforms, and communities.

Set and uphold a high editorial bar through rigorous content frameworks, standards, governance, and hands-on reviews that ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and craft.

Design strategic content systems that connect narratives, experience design, customer journeys, and behavioral change to measurable adoption and business outcomes. Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence Influence senior leaders and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Customer Success, Learning, Research, and Field organizations.

Create clarity and momentum in highly matrixed environments through effective operating models, governance, reviews, and decision frameworks.

Serve as a trusted strategic advisor who shapes plans, influences investments, and drives organizational change. Ownership & Outcome Orientation Own impact, not just deliverables and connect investments, programs, and experiences to measurable customer and business outcomes.

Use data, customer signals, and performance metrics to prioritize opportunities, guide decisions, and improve impact.

Operate as a hands-on leader who can move seamlessly from setting strategy to shaping narratives, editing content, and driving high-quality execution. Team Leadership & Quality Management Build, coach, and lead a high-performing team grounded in customer obsession, strategic rigor, attention to detail, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Stay close to the work actively shaping narratives, reviewing content, and providing precise, actionable feedback as both coach and editor to raise the quality bar.

Establish clear expectations, operating rhythms, and rigorous review mechanisms while developing talent into stronger strategic leaders, storytellers, and marketers. Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

4+ years people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams)

Additional or preferred qualifications

Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

6+ years people management experience. Product Marketing M5

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900
  • $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600
  • $272,300 per year.
