$100,000 per year (Exempt, Full-Time) Join Our Team Victoria Care Center, a premier skilled nursing facility in Ventura, California, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Director / Community Relations Representative to drive census growth, build referral relationships, and strengthen our presence within the healthcare community. The ideal candidate is a motivated healthcare marketer who can develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, accountable care organizations, insurance providers, and other referral sources to increase admissions and support our mission of providing exceptional patient care. Position Summary The Marketing Director serves as the primary liaison between Victoria Care Center and healthcare referral partners throughout Ventura County and surrounding communities. This role is responsible for generating patient referrals, increasing occupancy, promoting the facility's services, and maintaining a positive community presence. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Referral Management Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, acute care facilities, rehabilitation centers, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and healthcare organizations. Conduct regular visits to referral sources to promote Victoria Care Center's skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Identify new business opportunities and referral partnerships throughout the market. Track referral activities and follow up on potential admissions promptly. Attend hospital rounds, healthcare networking events, and community meetings as appropriate. Maintain a strong understanding of referral patterns and market trends. Admissions & Census Growth Collaborate with the Admissions Team to facilitate timely patient transitions. Monitor census goals and implement strategies to increase skilled nursing admissions. Assist with pre-admission assessments and coordination when necessary. Help ensure a smooth admission process for patients and families. Follow up with referral sources regarding patient outcomes and service satisfaction. Community Outreach & Marketing Represent Victoria Care Center at healthcare events, community functions, and professional networking opportunities. Develop marketing initiatives that increase awareness of facility services. Coordinate facility tours for prospective patients, families, and referral partners. Create and distribute marketing materials and presentations. Promote rehabilitation services, specialty programs, and clinical outcomes. Relationship Management Maintain ongoing communication with physicians, healthcare providers, and community partners. Build trust and credibility with referral sources through exceptional customer service. Serve as a resource regarding facility capabilities, services, and admission criteria. Respond professionally to inquiries regarding placement opportunities. Reporting & Performance Tracking Maintain accurate records of referral activity and business development efforts. Prepare weekly and monthly marketing reports. Monitor key performance indicators including referral volume, admissions, occupancy rates, and conversion percentages. Provide recommendations for market growth and competitive positioning. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of healthcare marketing, business development, admissions, or community relations experience. Experience working with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, and referral networks. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation. Ability to travel locally throughout Ventura County and surrounding communities. Preferred Skilled nursing facility (SNF), post-acute care, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, or healthcare marketing experience. Knowledge of Medicare, managed care, and post-acute referral processes. Established relationships within the Ventura County healthcare market.
