Job Description
Technovation is the world's largest AI accelerator for girls and women, and the largest women-in-tech network globally. We empower young people and women across 120+ countries to become AI innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders. In 2026, we are focused on creating a strong digital marketing strategy to grow awareness and community engagement, and to drive revenue from corporate and individual donors. This role is responsible for engaging Technovation's target audiences across digital channels and owns the performance of the organization's website, including ongoing updates, landing pages, SEO, and user experience. The Digital Engagement Manager collaborates on multi-channel organic marketing campaigns (including campaign briefs) across web, email, and social to drive awareness, engagement, and support. They own the email marketing strategy and monitor overall digital performance through analytics and reporting dashboards, using insights to guide continuous improvement and iterative decision-making. Working closely with the Content Strategist and Social Media Manager, this role ensures that existing content reaches the right audiences in the right formats, adapting and deploying channel-ready assets across web, email, and ads, rather than originating long-form content. This role also develops and manages distribution partnerships with relevant organizations, newsletters, influencers, and other groups to amplify the Technovation mission and grow reach. Core Responsibilities Website Management Manage and update Technovation's websites using Webflow and WordPress, including pages, landing pages, blog publishing, and basic design refinements. No custom coding required, but familiarity with page builders, templates, and design best practices is essential. Manage consultants and contractors as necessary to support web updates and maintenance. Own on-site SEO, page structure, and user experience to improve organic discoverability and conversion across key audience journeys. Email Marketing & Audience Growth Own the email marketing calendar, deployment, and segmentation strategy in partnership with the Content Strategist and Social Media Manager. Develop audience segmentation and lightweight automation to move people along the customer journey, driving outcomes in program participation, volunteer engagement, and donations. Grow email subscribers and cross-channel audiences through on-site CTAs, partnerships, and cross-promotion. Analytics & Performance Monitor digital performance across web, email, and paid channels using Google Analytics, platform insights, and marketing dashboards. Set and track KPIs related to traffic, list growth, engagement, and retention, and surface recommendations for ongoing optimization. Paid Digital & Campaign Support Set up and manage limited paid digital marketing tests (e.g., Meta ad tests, Google Ad Grant management, paid newsletter placements) to promote priority content, test new audiences, and drive traffic, leads, or donations. Support multi-channel campaign execution by deploying content across web and email channels and ensuring alignment with campaign briefs. Support social channel growth and engagement in partnership with the
Social Media Coordinator:
repackage existing web and email assets for social distribution, identify cross-promotion opportunities (e.g., email→social, web→social), and use cross-channel analytics to surface what's working. Distribution Partnerships Research, pitch, and manage distribution and content partnerships with external organizations and newsletters; collaborate with the Social Media Manager to identify and cultivate relationships with education influencers and mission-aligned creators to amplify Technovation's reach. Maintain partner relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and consistent audience growth. Skills & Experience Required 5+ years of experience in a digital marketing, web, or audience engagement role, preferably within a nonprofit setting. Technical Skills Hands-on CMS experience inWordPress and Webflow:
updating pages, posting blogs, editing copy and images, managing links/CTAs, and building landing pages.Basic UX and page-layout sense:
understanding how to structure pages for clarity, readability, and conversion.SEO and on-page optimization:
comfort with page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, and SEO plugins. Hands-on experience with email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), social scheduling tools, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform insights). Familiarity with paid digital advertising platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads) sufficient to launch basic campaigns, set up audience targeting, and manage low-budget performance. Strategic Skills Comfortable setting KPIs (traffic, list growth, engagement, retention), reading dashboards, and making iterative decisions based on performance — not just output volume. Ability to research, pitch, and manage distribution partnerships with external organizations, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for amplification and audience growth. Ability to deploy and adapt program and impact stories into channel-ready formats that drive opens, clicks, and shares, while adhering to brand guidelines. Strong understanding of and ability to represent diverse communities, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across internal teams and external audiences. Success Metrics This role will be measured on: Year-over-year growth in total reach, including organic search traffic, newsletter subscribers, and social followers. Ongoing improvement in technical site health and search visibility for priority terms, increased visibility in traditional search (SEO) and emerging AI-search engines (LLM SEO). Success in securing 3rd-party placements that drive qualified traffic with high engagement rates (measured by low bounce rates and high session duration). Ability to meet deadlines and build consensus across stakeholders Qualifications 5+ years in digital marketing including website development and user journey Strong project management skills; able to operate independently Experience with Webflow and WordPress Experience with martech stack platforms including but not limited to: Mailchimp, Google Analytics, LinkedIn and Meta ads, Google Ads (Google Ad Grants a plus) SEO/SEM tools, audience segmentation tools Experience in growth marketing or digital distribution, with a focus on optimizing and placing content rather than original long-form copywriting Calm under pressure, anticipatory, and detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication Ability to quickly learn and adapt to changes in a dynamic tech education environmentSimilar jobs in West Menlo Park, CA
