Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an individual with culinary experience and a passion for food. As the Market Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting them with their purchasing needs. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with food in a fast-paced retail environment.Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with product information and assistance
- Assist customers in finding the right products to meet their needs
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and workspace, including restocking shelves and arranging displays and maintaining sanitation standards
- Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email
- Inventory management, ordering and quality control
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate information to customers
Experience:
- Have a broad knowledge of cooking and the ability to share that knowledge with customers
- Previous experience in food service is required
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage inventory and merchandise displays
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell products and services.
- Basic knife skills
