Full Job Description AVP of Marketing Position Purpose:
The Assistant Vice President, Marketing is responsible for leading the operational execution, performance management, and continuous optimization of the marketing function. This role oversees marketing operations across channels, ensuring effective implementation of marketing strategies, efficient workflows, and data-driven decision-making. The AVP provides leadership for marketing execution, analytics, segmentation, and performance measurement, translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes. Working in close partnership with the Vice President of Marketing, this position drives operational excellence, supports organizational growth objectives, and fosters a culture of accountability, insight, and continuous improvement.Essential Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution and Delivery Lead the execution and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns. Manage campaign timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Monitor results and recommend improvements to maximize performance. Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and brand standards. Team Management and Development Lead, coach, and develop members of the marketing team. Establish goals, manage performance, and support professional growth. Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Content and Communications Execution Oversee the development and distribution of marketing and communication content. Ensure messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned with brand standards. Manage content calendars and workflow processes Marketing Agency Coordination Manage relationships with external agencies and marketing vendors. Oversee project deliverables, budgets, and timelines. Ensure agency work aligns with organizational objectives and brand standards. Marketing Analytics and Attribution Develop and maintain marketing performance metrics, reporting, and dashboards. Analyze campaign and channel performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and attribution analysis to support decision-making. Segmentation Strategy Lead audience segmentation and targeting strategies using the customer segmentation and targeted marketing platform. Develop and refine customer segments to improve personalization and campaign effectiveness. Monitor segment performance and support data-driven marketing initiatives. Stakeholder & Cross Functional Partnership Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with organizational goals.Minimum Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
- A minimum of six (6) years of marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility, including team leadership, preferably in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience with digital analytics, marketing automation, customer relationship management (CRM), and marketing database platforms.
- Experience managing marketing workflows and operational systems.
- Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with marketing analytics and campaign performance reporting.
- Familiarity with customer segmentation and targeting platforms.
- Ability to translate marketing data into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
