Job Description

Job Overview A growing organization is seeking an experienced Amazon Operations Manager to lead and own the Amazon marketplace as a core business unit. This role carries full responsibility for the performance, profitability, and operational execution of the Amazon channel. The ideal candidate brings current, hands-on experience managing Amazon operations end-to-end, with a strong understanding of the platform's continuously evolving landscape across Seller Central, SEO, PPC, and catalog management. This is a highly accountable role requiring an entrepreneurial and analytical operator who can balance strategic planning with disciplined execution across marketing, operations, and supply chain. Key Responsibilities P&L Ownership and Business Performance Own and manage revenue, margin, and profitability for the Amazon channel Develop and maintain sales forecasts, targets, and performance tracking Drive initiatives to achieve sustained growth while maintaining healthy contribution margins Identify and execute opportunities across pricing, promotions, and product assortment End-to-End Amazon Operations Oversee all aspects of Amazon marketplace management, including: Catalog structure, variations, and product aggregation Listing optimization (SEO, content, imagery, A+ Content) PPC strategy and execution Inventory planning and availability Fulfillment strategy (FBA and FBM) Order processing and compliance with Amazon policies (TOS) Account health, issue resolution, and reinstatement processes Ratings, reviews, and overall customer experience Inventory, Logistics, and Fulfillment Partner with supply chain and operations teams to ensure: Consistent product availability on key SKUs Efficient inventory turnover and cost control Accurate demand planning and replenishment strategies Align Amazon strategy with manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping capabilities Advertising, SEO, and Conversion Optimization Lead Amazon growth initiatives through: Keyword strategy and search optimization Sponsored advertising campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display) Continuous testing of content, pricing, and promotional strategies Leverage tools such as Helium 10, Perpetua, or similar platforms to inform decision-making Agency and Vendor Management Manage and oversee external partners (e.g., PPC agencies, account support services) Establish clear performance expectations and ensure accountability to defined KPIs Evaluate and implement tools and partners that enhance operational efficiency and performance Platform Expertise and Continuous Improvement Stay informed on Amazon platform updates, policy changes, and emerging best practices Serve as an internal resource on Amazon strategy and execution Proactively adjust strategies to maintain competitiveness in a dynamic marketplace
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on Amazon marketplace management experience, preferably in a current role. Demonstrated experience owning or significantly influencing P&L performance.
Strong working knowledge of:
Amazon Seller Central FBA and FBM operations Catalog management and variation strategy SEO and listing optimization PPC and performance marketing Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, profitability, and maintaining positive ratings and reviews on Amazon. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to optimize sales, performance, ROI, and customer satisfaction metrics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset, capable of developing and implementing innovative e-commerce strategies. Preferred Experience operating within a manufacturer, brand owner, or CPG environment, with direct exposure to inventory, production, and fulfillment constraints. Familiarity with multi-channel distribution environments (Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, DTC) Experience with

systems, and inventory planning tools
