Job Description
Position Summary The Field Marketing Manager will lead the door-to-door appointment-setting team for Fortress Roofing. This role will be responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and transporting canvassing employees in company-provided vehicle to generate homeowner appointments through neighborhood outreach. The ideal candidate will be a strong motivator, a skilled trainer, and a results-driven leader with experience in door-to-door campaigns or field team management. Key Responsibilities Recruit, interview, and onboard door-to-door canvassing employees for the appointment-setting team. Train canvassers on scripts, homeowner engagement, compliance, and appointment-setting best practices. Manage daily canvassing operations , including scheduling, neighborhood assignments, and performance oversight. Motivate and coach canvassing staff to meet appointment and lead generation goals. Track performance metrics (appointments set, conversions, attendance, productivity) and report to the Director of Business Integration. Collaborate with Outside Sales to ensure canvassing appointments flow seamlessly into the sales pipeline. Maintain team accountability through ride-alongs, performance reviews, and incentive programs. Support canvassing staff with marketing collateral, scripts, and localized homeowner outreach strategies. Ensure canvassing efforts reflect Fortress Roofing's professionalism, values, and customer-first approach. Oversee compliance with local solicitation regulations and company policies. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in door-to-door canvassing management, field marketing, or sales team leadership (roofing, solar, pest control, or home services experience a plus). Proven ability to hire, train, and manage high-performing canvassing teams. Strong leadership and motivational skills, with a hands-on approach to coaching employees. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Familiarity with CRM systems to track appointments and campaign effectiveness. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable managing a team in the field. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be able to work until sunset (the actual quitting time is based on the season). Must be able to work Saturday's 9am -2pm when needed.
