Job Description:
The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for leading the assigned brand as the "general manager" of the business—driving volume, net sales, and margin targets while building brand equity and accelerating innovation. This role is accountable for developing and executing both short- and long-term strategies, guiding innovation priorities, and increasing brand awareness and growth. This position is on-site 4 days a week in Elgin, IL. Functions of the
Position:
Develop and implement short- and long-term brand strategies to drive growth and build brand equity. Lead day-to-day management, execution, and optimization of initiatives to deliver on business objectives and drive both topline and bottom-line performance. Understand and evaluate the impact of strategies on the P&L. Identify the innovation pipeline and lead cross-functional teams to develop, commercialize, and launch new products aligned with the brand roadmap. Partner closely with Sales to strengthen channel strategy and expand physical distribution across retail channels, ensuring brand strategies are fully omnichannel. Lead agency partnerships and selection to develop impactful marketing plans, campaigns, and content. Drive growth of the brand's digital presence. Own brand positioning and consumer target definition; ensure all communications and activations align with the overarching brand strategy. Lead business analytics across consumption, gross sales, and marketing spend, delivering insights and actionable recommendations. Define and support pricing strategies, promotions, and price-pack architecture (PPA) optimization to drive category growth and expand into new channels and retailers.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related business discipline required; MBA highly desirable. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a marketing role within a consumer products company, preferably in the food industry. Demonstrated success in brand strategy development and execution. Prior experience with P&L ownership and A&P (Advertising & Promotion) budget management. Demonstrated curiosity and experience with modern marketing, including translating consumer insights into action and leveraging new growth models (e.g., digital-first strategies). Strong team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Strong business and financial acumen with advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Ownership mindset with a strong drive for results. High sense of urgency; proactive, self-directed, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments. Advanced proficiency with syndicated data tools (e.g., Circana, NIQ). Consumer-centric mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Ability to drive change and influence cross-functional partners to align with strategic vision. The starting salary range for this position is $137,287 -$188,769. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives subject to the terms of the underlying plan.
