Job Summary:
Position Summary The Associate Director, Marketing Effectiveness is responsible for optimizing marketing capabilities, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring strategic and cost-effective partnerships with external agencies and select vendors. This role will lead efforts to enhance marketing execution by defining best practices, implementing structured processes, and overseeing vendor engagement. The individual will collaborate closely with brand teams, commercial operations, and finance to improve marketing performance, streamline agency operations, improve workflows, and maximize return on investment.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Excellence & Capability Development:
Establish and implement best practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance marketing execution, ensuring consistency and efficiency across CNS brand teams.
Agency Management & Performance Optimization:
Oversee agency selection, contracting, and performance evaluation to ensure strong partnerships and high-quality outputs while optimizing marketing spend.
Marketing Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in marketing execution and develop scalable solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
Integrated Performance Measurement:
Implement structured KPIs and performance tracking methodologies to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous optimization of marketing initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with commercial operations, finance, legal, compliance, and brand teams to align marketing operations and agency engagements with broader organizational goals.
Budget & Resource Allocation:
Ensure that marketing investments in agencies and execution are effectively managed, aligned with strategic priorities, and delivering measurable impact. Qualifications & Key Competencies Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, agency management, and/or marketing effectiveness within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry Strong project management and process optimization expertise Experience in agency/vendor relationship management and marketing budget oversight Ability to analyze marketing performance data and leverage insights for strategic adjustments Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and execute process improvements Experience working in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders Competencies Accountability for Results
