JOB SUMMARY
WKAR, the PBS and NPR affiliate within the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University, seeks a strategic and creative Director of Marketing & Promotions to lead audience growth, brand awareness, and engagement efforts across television, radio, digital, social, print, and community platforms. Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that promote WKAR's original programming, news coverage, educational initiatives, events, and overall station identity. The successful candidate will be a hands-on marketing leader who combines data-driven decision making with innovative storytelling to expand audience reach, strengthen community engagement, and support WKAR's mission as mid-Michigan's trusted source for news, educational content, and cultural programming.BENEFITS OF WORKING AT MSU
