Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Automation & Service Manager for Haeger is a senior, cross‑functional leadership role responsible for driving the success of Haeger's automation products throughout their full lifecycle—from customer engagement and solution definition through project delivery, market launch, and ongoing service strategy. This role serves as the voice of the customer, the owner of product and solution definition, and the technical authority for Haeger's automation portfolio. The Automation & Service Manager works directly with customers to understand application needs, defines integrated automation solutions, develops statements of work, owns quoting and commercial definition, and leads projects through successful installation and startup. This role also guides product feature implementation decisions, develops product marketing strategy, and ensures service offerings are aligned to customer needs and long‑term business relationships. Based in the Shelby facility, this position acts as a key technical leader supporting sales, engineering, service, quality, and operations. This role works across multiple internal functions, geographic regions and across the Haeger enterprise.
Job Responsibilities:
Work directly with customers to understand manufacturing, automation, and production requirements. Evaluate customer needs and define the optimal Haeger automation solution, including machine configurations, options, software, and services. Lead the service organization, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient issue resolution. Develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly define project scope, deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, and acceptance criteria. Act as technical lead during customer discussions, solution reviews, and project alignment meetings. Lead cross-functional project execution from order through installation and customer acceptance. Act as primary escalation point for issues during startup and early production. Laise with customers throughout the project and manage communications and deliverables. Develop product marketing and technical documentation. Partner with sales and marketing to ensure consistent market messaging. Work with customers to define and implement service programs. Ensure alignment between product design, service capability, and long-term customer support. Act as technical authority across Haeger's product portfolio. Support internal teams in resolving complex technical and customer issues. Translate customer feedback into product and process improvements.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Deep technical understanding of Haeger machines, automation solutions, and customer applications Strong customer‑facing communication and solution‑selling capability Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business and project definitions Strategic thinking paired with hands‑on problem solving Ability to balance customer advocacy with internal priorities and long‑term product strategy Strong communications skills, including the ability to generate presentations and manage customer expectations.
Compensation:
$95,124 - $130,000
