Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and leading Bailey's marketing strategy and execution to drive revenue growth, strengthen brand performance, and improve commercial alignment across our diverse customer channels. This role oversees campaign strategy, demand generation, channel marketing, and commercial marketing efforts, ensuring that marketing investments are prioritized effectively and aligned with Sales, Brand, and Product Development. The Director partners closely with leadership, Sales, Product Development, Communications, and external agency partners to define priorities, allocate resources, and bring high-impact programs to market. As a leader within the organization, this role is accountable for improving marketing effectiveness, strengthening sales and customer support, and ensuring Bailey's marketing efforts translate into measureable business impact and profitable growth. Operating within the horticulture industry, the Director will navigate a unique B2B and B2B2C environment spanning growers, independent garden centers, mass merchants, landscape professionals, and consumer-facing brands.Benefits:

Roles and Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Commercial Growth- Set and lead the marketing strategy to support revenue growth, business priorities, customer and channel engagement, and long-term brand performance. Brand & Portfolio Strategy
- Provide strategic marketing direction for Bailey's corporate and consumer brands and product portfolio, ensuring market positioning supports customer needs and business growth. Demand Generation & Channel Marketing
- Lead strategies that build demand across Bailey's B2B and B2B2C ecosystem, strengthening Marketing's contribution to customer engagement, sales effectiveness, and commercial results. Marketing Investment & Performance
- Own marketing priorities and budget allocation, using performance data, customer insights, and business results to determine where resources will have the greatest impact. Market & Customer Insights
- Translate customer, market, competitive, and industry insights into strategic recommendations and business decisions. Sales & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Sales, Product Development, Communications, and senior leadership to align priorities, strengthen go-to-market execution, and bring integrated commercial initiatives to market. Marketing Organization Leadership
- Lead and develop and insipire the Marketing team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and capabilities needed to execute the company's marketing strategy.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered 8+ years of marketing experience, preferably within B2B, B2B2C, multi-channel, horticulture, agriculture, consumer products, or similarly complex business environments Proven results developing and executing marketing strategy and driving business growth Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams, including setting priorities, building capabilities, and managing through change Strong business acumen with understanding of P&L drivers, including revenue growth, pricing, margin, channel dymanics and marketing investment Experience managing significant marketing budgets, prioritizing investments, and evaluating effectiveness and return Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders while driving accountability Ability to translate strategy into execution and deliver on committed financial and operational goalsAbout Bailey Nurseries :
