Job Description
Erker's 1879 | St. Louis, Missouri Full-Time About Erker's 1879 Erker's 1879 is a fifth-generation, family-owned eyewear company founded in St. Louis in 1879. With nearly 150 years of history, we're building the next chapter of the brand through compelling storytelling, lifestyle content, heritage, craftsmanship, and great design. We're looking for a Brand & Content Manager to help bring that story to life. The Role This is not a traditional Marketing Coordinator position. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of our content and creative marketing process —helping develop ideas, coordinating photographers and videographers, organizing lifestyle shoots, managing freelancers and outside partners, and making sure we consistently have great content for social media, email, advertising, our website, retail stores, and wholesale marketing. You won't necessarily be behind the camera every day. Your job is to make sure the right people, locations, ideas, products, and creative direction come together to produce exceptional content. You'll work directly with ownership to help shape and execute the creative direction of Erker's 1879. What You'll Do Manage the overall Erker's content and marketing calendar Plan and coordinate lifestyle photography and video shoots Source and manage photographers, videographers, models, creators, and other freelancers Develop creative briefs, concepts, mood boards, shot lists, and campaign ideas Scout and coordinate shoot locations Help coordinate wardrobe, props, products, talent, and logistics Manage production schedules and creative budgets Make sure every shoot produces content that can be used across Instagram, TikTok, email, website, digital advertising, retail, and wholesale Coordinate with outside marketing agencies and creative partners Organize and maintain our photo and video asset library Help develop seasonal campaigns and product launches Work with our team to turn larger campaigns into ongoing social content Maintain a consistent visual identity and brand voice Keep projects moving and make sure deadlines are met Bring new creative ideas to the table What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is creative but highly organized . The ideal person understands what makes a consumer brand interesting and knows how to take an idea from: Concept → Shoot → Content → Campaign You should be comfortable managing multiple creative people and projects at the same time. Experience in one or more of the following would be especially valuable: Fashion Apparel Eyewear Lifestyle brands Hospitality Spirits / food & beverage Advertising agencies Consumer products Luxury or premium retail Ideal Background 3-7 years of experience in brand marketing, content, creative production, or a related field Experience managing professional photo and video shoots Strong eye for photography, video, design, and storytelling Experience working with photographers, videographers, models, influencers, and agencies Strong project-management and organizational skills Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, email, e-commerce, and digital advertising Comfortable managing budgets and timelines Able to give creative feedback and maintain brand consistency Strong written and verbal communication skills Photography, videography, editing, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar experience is a plus—but you do not need to personally be the photographer or designer. More important is your ability to recognize great creative work and coordinate the people who can produce it. The Type of Content We Want to Create We're interested in building something deeper than traditional eyewear advertising.
