Job Description
Position Overview:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of branding within customer locations, ensuring all in-store branding, POP/POS materials, & visual displays are accurate, current, & aligned with Nexen Tire America's marketing objectives. This role regularly visits dealer locations to identify strategic opportunities to improve visibility & customer engagement, while auditing brand presence. The Marketing Manager serves as a vital connection between the marketing team & the customers, ensuring Nexen maintains a strong, consistent B2B presence that supports the company's growth & profitability goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, & maintain in-store merchandising strategies for POP/POS, displays, & branding
- Manage dealer displays, tire rack branding, vehicle wraps, & other in-store elements
- Conduct regular dealer visits to audit brand presence, evaluate display effectiveness, & develop customer relationships
- Develop & manage a merchandising calendar, including rollout timelines, seasonal updates, & promotional campaigns
- Manage the Nexen merchandise store, ensuring proper inventory levels & cost management
- Coordinate dealer "kits" (welcome kits, annual kits, & new product launch kits) to promote Nexen branding to customers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for merchandising requests from sales teams & dealers
- Manage Nexen Network program (in-store television content activation), keeping content up to date & ensuring TV status is active
- Manage quarterly promotions, rebates, & dealer reward programs to ensure effective communication
- Collect field insights & feedback on store needs & competitor activity
- Coordinate with creative agencies to manage development & production of POP/POS materials
- Ensure branding aligns with campaign goals & overall Nexen brand guidelines
- Closely work with HQ brand communication, along with internal product team, sales team, and other marketing colleagues to coordinate B2B marketing campaigns under consistent message of product & company
- Assist in set up of Customer Channel Marketing strategy with Marketing Director & Marketing VP
- Measure the impact of Customer Channel marketing using relevant KPIs
- Prepare the monthly Customer Channel activity report
- Ad hoc reports for the Marketing Director, VP of Marketing, & Korea HQ
Budget Management Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:
- Proven experience managing marketing, merchandising, and/or customer relations.
- Strong customer relations skills to work directly with dealers and partners.
- Strategic thinker with strong creative problem-solving skills to identify business opportunities.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in Tire / Automotive Industry preferred.
- Experience in sports marketing highly desirable.
- Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior Business Marketing position.
- Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and Power Point, etc.
- Flexibility in work schedules.
- Strong organizational skills in multi-national working environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing Communication required
- Tire/Automotive industry preferred
- Sports marketing preferred
- Proven experience managing business communication strategy and execution
