Job Description
Position Overview The Marketing Content Supervisor is responsible for creating, editing, and overseeing marketing content for our lawn care and landscaping clients. This role combines writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for design and an understanding of each client's services and the marketing goals for a given project. The ideal candidate is capable of producing engaging, accurate content, as well as being a discerning editor who approves content prior to client review.
Key Responsibilities Content Development:
Produce content for direct response mailing pieces, print and e-mail newsletters, and printed collateral.Write compelling marketing content using:
Internal marketing resources and templates Information provided directly by clients Content gathered from client websites AI resources to generate/iterate content Ensure all content aligns with each client's services and target audience.Content Editing:
Review and edit supplied or AI-generated marketing content to ensure: Accuracy and factual correctness Alignment with the client's services, goals, and geographic market Consistent brand voice and messaging Proper grammar, readability, and flow Expand, rewrite, or reorganize AI-generated content when necessary to improve quality and originality.Art/Design Review:
Apply a critical eye to ensure the combination of content and design make sense. Work with designers and other team members to adjust the tone and/or look of a given project based on a collective understanding of the client's services, location and marketing goals.Quality Assurance:
Proofread all marketing projects prior to client review. Verify spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and consistency. Ensure all content meets company quality standards before submission. Confirm the accuracy of all contact information, QR codes, and calls to action. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience). Professional marketing, content writing, copywriting, or content editing experience. Required Skills Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Willingness to ask questions and edit projects based on marketing/communication logic. Experience/Interest in the lawn care, landscaping, home services, or related industries is a plus. Willingness to operate in a small, seasonal business environment with a significantly busier season stretching from January to May. Attention to detail. Grammar and AP style proficiency. Experience using AI writing tools (such as ChatGPT/Perplexity or similar platforms) as part of a professional content workflow. Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency. Familiarity with html e-mail construction is a plus.Pay:
$33.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 28.0 per weekBenefits:
