Director, Marketing We are seeking a hands-on Director, Marketing to lead and scale our in-house marketing function. Reporting to the COO, this player-coach leader will set marketing direction and operating priorities while remaining personally involved in high-impact execution. The Director will own marketing planning, brand stewardship, campaigns and channel execution, agency and vendor management, marketing operations, and performance reporting. Responsibilities include personally developing marketing materials and decks, maintaining the marketing plan and calendar, and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with brand strategy and our leadership team's direction. As a trusted partner to the COO, leadership team, external agency, and cross-functional partners, the Director will translate business priorities into coordinated, measurable marketing programs. The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical operator who can drive projects forward, build alignment, and step in where needed in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with our external marketing agency and partner closely with the COO to drive the marketing plan, ensuring it aligns with the overall brand strategy. Own and update the marketing plan and calendar, tracking deadlines, deliverables, and dependencies. Lead the development of marketing collateral, with the ability to personally create assets as needed, including presentations, brochures, case studies, and press releases. Review photography and video assets for quality, fit, and brand consistency. Serve as the central point of coordination for marketing priorities, status updates, and follow-up. Foster cross-functional collaboration across departments and external partners to keep projects moving forward. Oversee brand library management and ensure assets are organized, current, and easy to access. Ensure the website, social channels, and other marketing communications are regularly updated and aligned with brand standards. Act as the final checkpoint for brand integrity before external release of materials. Drive partner and customer outreach through HubSpot, including campaign setup, segmentation, list management, workflows, and reporting. Build and manage outbound messaging programs such as newsletters, nurture emails, announcements, and partner/customer communications. Create lead generation strategies that move prospects through the funnel and improve conversion rates. Develop channel marketing plans with partners, including co-marketing campaigns, joint emails, event support, and partner enablement materials. Oversee the Wrike space and ensure project information is accurate and up to date. Manage and mentor the Marketing Events Specialist. Oversee the tradeshow and event calendar managed by the Marketing Events Specialist, ensuring activities align with marketing priorities. Provide direction on event logistics, communications, and content, supporting the Marketing Events Specialist in execution. Manage vendor contracts, including proposals, NDAs, and invoices, ensuring required documentation and approvals are completed. Work with the COO to monitor overall marketing spend and provide updates. Track and compile analytics on campaigns, social engagement, and website performance. Prepare insights and regular reporting for leadership to guide strategic decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. 8+ years in marketing roles, including 3+ years with team management responsibility. Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines. Excellent communication skills, with strong understanding of grammar, tone, and style. Comfortable learning technical products and translating complex details into clear, compelling marketing. Experience working with creative agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Ability to draft social media copy for agency refinement and execution. Detail-oriented, budget-conscious, and able to balance oversight with hands-on execution. Strong working knowledge of Keynote, presentation development, and visual storytelling. Good eye for graphic design, layout, photography, and video quality. Experience managing websites and coordinating website updates and projects. Native or fluent English speaker. Able to work in the US without sponsorship. Travel Travel could be up to 25% of your time.
