Marketing Operations Manager Job Description The Marketing Operations Manager brings structure, organization, and operational excellence to a rapidly growing marketing team. This individual contributor partners closely with senior marketing leadership to manage marketing roadmaps, coordinate creative production, support brand initiatives, and oversee event logistics. The role focuses on creating order from ambiguity, building scalable processes, and driving accountability across teams while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Responsibilities Manage marketing project workflows and prioritization across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of initiatives. Create and maintain systems for tracking deliverables, deadlines, and project status, providing clear visibility into project progress. Coordinate cross-functional marketing initiatives from concept through completion, collaborating closely with brand, product, sales, and leadership teams. Support creative production efforts by organizing timelines, managing approvals, and overseeing marketing asset management. Oversee vendor relationships and manage event logistics for marketing and brand events, ensuring smooth planning and execution. Track inventory and manage ordering of marketing materials and branded merchandise to support campaigns and events. Facilitate communication and information flow between marketing, product, sales, and leadership teams to align priorities and expectations. Establish scalable, repeatable processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and visibility across the marketing organization. Provide operational support to leadership and help drive strategic execution of marketing and brand initiatives. Proactively extract information from team members to clarify requirements, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring projects stay on track. Drive prioritization, create structure, manage workflows, and track project completion while holding multiple stakeholders accountable. Support product marketing and sales enablement efforts by coordinating the development and delivery of marketing materials. Assist with agency management and budget tracking to ensure resources are used effectively and aligned with marketing goals. Leverage project management and productivity tools, including AI productivity tools, to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency. Essential Skills 3-7+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Project Management, Creative Operations, Brand Operations, or similar roles supporting fast-paced marketing organizations. Demonstrated experience managing marketing project workflows, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. Experience working cross-functionally with creative, brand, product, sales, and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to create and maintain systems for tracking deliverables, deadlines, and project status. Experience with marketing operations, workflow management, and process improvement. Vendor management and event planning experience, including coordination of marketing and brand events (experience coordinating vendors and events preferred). Strong communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to proactively extract information from team members and keep stakeholders aligned. Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-growth environments. Experience serving as the operational backbone of a marketing organization by driving prioritization, creating structure, managing workflows, and ensuring accountability. Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or Smartsheet. Local candidates only due to on-site requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in brand marketing and creative production management. Background in marketing asset management and brand operations. Experience supporting product marketing initiatives and sales enablement materials. Agency management experience, including coordination and communication with external partners. Budget tracking experience within marketing or brand functions. Familiarity with AI productivity tools to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows. Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments undergoing brand transformation. Interest in helping build marketing processes and structures from the ground up. Desire to work closely with senior leadership and influence how marketing operations are designed and scaled. Work Environment This role is based on-site, with an expectation of being in the office five days per week initially, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule of approximately three to four days on-site per week. The environment is fast-paced and high-growth, with a marketing team undergoing significant brand transformation, including the launch of a new visual identity and expansion of the marketing function. The Marketing Operations Manager works closely with senior leadership, including the VP of Marketing, Brand, and Product, and has high visibility across the organization. The team leverages modern project management and productivity tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet, and AI productivity tools to manage workflows and improve efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $76.00/hr.
