Job Summary Are you ready to lead and inspire a world-class Product Marketing Team? At NetApp, we are in an exciting phase of developing a top-tier Product Marketing function, and we are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader to define and lead Product Marketing for our integrated data management Platform. As the Sr. Director of Platform Product Marketing, you will play a crucial role in defining the strategy and narrative for the entire NetApp portfolio. You will be a key player in the transformation of a centralized Product Marketing function, driving the cross-portfolio messaging that solidifies our Platform story. This pivotal role requires a leader who can seamlessly collaborate with product management, corporate marketing, sales, and senior stakeholders to drive growth and achieve market leadership for the NetApp Platform, in alignment with the broader company technology strategy. Your mission will be to build and develop a world-class Platform Product Marketing Team, craft a compelling and unified platform narrative, and be a strategic leader and partner to the executive leadership team. You will enable our sales teams with high-impact tools and materials, leverage market insights to inform product roadmaps, and ensure cross-functional alignment to deliver consistent messaging and execution across all touchpoints.
Job Requirements Key Responsibilities Platform Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive, data- and AI-informed platform marketing strategies. Define the platform's core value proposition, messaging, and go-to-market plans that unify the entire NetApp portfolio and resonate with executive-level buyers. Build and Develop aWorld-Class Product Marketing Team:
Hire and develop the existing team, augmenting with new skills, talent, and tools needed to scale and support a platform-oriented model.AI-Driven Product Marketing:
Leverage AI to scale product marketing impact, including accelerating content creation, improving signal from market and customer insights, and increasing the speed, quality, and consistency of sales enablement, go-to-market execution insights, and driving more data-informed decision making.Sales Enablement:
Understand the needs of the sales organization to create high-impact sales tools, training, and customer-facing materials that articulate the value of the NetApp platform. Collaborate with product teams to integrate market needs and customer pain points into roadmaps.Cross-Functional Alignment:
Ensure consistent platform messaging and execution across all touchpoints by driving alignment between product, marketing, and sales teams.Go-to-Market Leadership:
Lead the development of go-to-market plans for major platform releases and key cross-functional company moments, ensuring a unified and impactful launch.Performance Tracking:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for platform marketing efforts and track the effectiveness of launches and marketing campaigns to demonstrate business impact.Inclusive Environment:

Key Qualifications and Requirements 15+ years of experience in marketing or product marketing, with a proven track record in a technically oriented business leading marketing functions in large-scale technology companies. Demonstrated success in building and marketing world-class, enterprise-scale platform, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS products from inception to market leadership. Strong business acumen and experience with data-driven decision-making across pricing, marketing, and sales. Experience leveraging AI or advanced tooling to improve marketing effectiveness and insight generation. Proven success in leading cross-functional teams to launch and grow complex platform products in a competitive market. Strong ability to work cross-functionally and foster a culture of collaboration across product, engineering, corporate marketing, sales, and partner teams. Exceptional storyteller with the ability to distill a complex portfolio of technologies into a clear, concise, and engaging platform narrative. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Equivalent combination of additional skills and experience may be substituted for degrees listed.Compensation:
The target base salary range for this position is $300,000-360,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
