We're looking for a Sr. Manager, Retail Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of high-impact programs across national mass retail channels. This role sits at the intersection of brand, sales, and shopper-owning how we show up in high-traffic, highly competitive environments where decisions are made in seconds. You'll be responsible for translating brand and product strategy into retail-first execution that wins at shelf, drives velocity, and scales across hundreds to thousands of doors. This role requires a strong understanding of retail planning cycles, merchandising standards, and how physical and digital shelf work together to convert. Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end retail marketing execution across large-scale mass retail environments Partner closely with Sales to support annual planning cycles, line reviews, and ongoing account management Develop campaigns aligned to key retail moments including resets, seasonal transitions, promotional windows, and new item launches Build and execute best-in-class merchandising strategies including modular displays, endcaps, and in-aisle visibility drivers Ensure excellence in shelf presentation, including packaging communication, signage, and compliance with merchandising standards Translate brand strategy into clear, high-impact messaging that converts quickly at shelf and within digital retail environments Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate retail programs with digital media, ecommerce, and broader brand campaigns Support development and optimization of digital shelf content to improve conversion and search visibility Monitor performance across key metrics including sell-through, velocity, in-stock rates, and promotional effectiveness Contribute to retailer-facing materials including presentations, scorecards, and post-launch recaps Develop scalable playbooks that can be replicated across SKUs, categories, and retail environments Manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional execution across multiple concurrent initiatives Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in retail marketing, shopper marketing, or CPG brand marketing with a focus on mass retail Direct experience supporting large-scale retail accounts with structured planning cycles and merchandising requirements Strong understanding of modular merchandising, resets, and in-store execution standards Familiarity with digital shelf fundamentals and how content and media influence conversion Experience working with performance data and retailer metrics (velocity, sell-through, in-stock, promotional lift) Background in better-for-you, wellness, beauty, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred Ability to balance creative thinking with structured, detail-oriented execution Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities What Success Looks Like:
Strong, consistent velocity across large-scale retail environments Flawless execution against merchandising standards and retail timelines High-performing launches that meet or exceed retailer expectations Clear linkage between retail programs and measurable business outcomes Scalable systems and playbooks that support continued expansion Work Location & Schedule This position follows an enforced hybrid schedule, requiring team members to be present in our San Diego, California office at least four days per week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are available for remote work. This role also requires attendance at all in-person monthly team meetings and quarterly company events. Physical Requirements This role primarily involves office-based work and requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move items up to 20-30 pounds, such as files or office supplies. Employees should be able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform frequent computer-based tasks, including prolonged exposure to a computer screen. What We Offer:
