Overview Join our dynamic team as a Meat Market Manager and lead the charge in delivering exceptional customer service, managing daily operations, and driving sales in a bustling retail environment. This energetic role offers the opportunity to oversee meat department activities, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and merchandising. Responsibilities Oversee daily meat department operations, including inventory management, stocking, merchandising, and ensuring product freshness and quality. Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales goals. Manage employee scheduling, shift assignments, and payroll processing to ensure optimal staffing levels. Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional displays to boost sales and enhance store presentation. Conduct regular inventory control checks, monitor stock levels, and coordinate purchasing to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Supervise cash handling procedures, cashiering activities, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations with accuracy. Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain loyal shoppers while maintaining excellent communication with staff and customers. Requirements Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments, preferably with supervising responsibilities in a meat or perishable goods department. Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing procedures, retail math, and pricing strategies. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in training & development, team management, and employee orientation. Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and QuickBooks software. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with excellent organizational skills and time management.
