This role is centered around asset utilization, load planning, market execution, trailer strategy, and customer service execution across a dynamic freight network operating throughout the United States and Mexico. The right person for this role understands how to operate in a fast-moving truckload environment where priorities shift quickly, freight markets move constantly, and execution matters. This is a hands-on operational position for someone who knows how to think critically under pressure, solve problems in real time, and maintain strong service performance while maximizing asset productivity. You will work closely with our load planning, customer service, and driver management teams to help coordinate freight flow, manage trailer utilization, support customer commitments, and execute daily operational strategy across a growing mix of dedicated automotive freight, dedicated non-automotive freight, and transactional truckload business. A major part of this role is understanding how all operational pieces connect together. This includes managing complex hours-of-service situations, planning reloads, balancing trailer pools, reacting to live market conditions, supporting overflow brokerage activity when needed, and helping ensure that customer service execution stays strong even in high-pressure situations. Key Areas of Responsibility Manage daily load planning and asset flow across an active OTR fleet Maximize truck and trailer utilization throughout the United States and Mexico Execute advanced hours-of-service planning and reload strategy Support customer service execution through proactive operational communication Manage trailer pools and reduce trailer dwell and idle time Support overflow freight through carrier sourcing and brokerage coordination React to changing market conditions while maintaining strong service performance Collaborate closely with load planning, customer service, and driver management teams Qualifications The ideal candidate will have experience in truckload operations, load planning, capacity planning, carrier operations, brokerage operations, or asset planning. A strong understanding of FMCSA hours-of-service regulations, freight market pricing, trailer utilization, and operational problem solving is important for success in this role. We are looking for someone who operates with urgency, communicates clearly, takes ownership naturally, and understands how to balance service, utilization, and operational efficiency simultaneously. Automotive logistics experience is valuable, but strong over-the-road truckload experience and the ability to execute in a fast-paced operational environment are more important.
