This is not a position for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. Our Sales Manager must be comfortable coaching representatives, reviewing numbers, making outbound calls, visiting customers, developing dealers, assisting with difficult sales, and holding the team accountable for measurable results. The primary purpose of this position is to increase company revenue through stronger sales-representative performance, dealer growth, customer reactivation, and account expansion. Compensation Starting base salary of $60,000 per year Monthly commission based on total department sales Team revenue performance bonuses Additional dealer-development incentives Total compensation will depend on the department's performance and the Sales Manager's ability to grow revenue. What You'll Do Lead the daily activities and performance of the sales department Set clear revenue, activity, and dealer-development goals Review sales numbers, pipelines, quotes, follow-ups, and open opportunities Coach sales representatives on prospecting, follow-up, objection handling, and closing Hold team members accountable for activity and results Assist with closing high-value, strategic, or difficult opportunities Build relationships with performance shops, dealers, distributors, engine builders, and automotive retailers Generate new dealers every month Attempt to reactivate inactive dealers every month Expand sales within existing dealer and distributor accounts Identify products customers are currently purchasing from competitors Conduct or coordinate in-person customer or prospect visits every month Ensure qualified opportunities receive consistent follow-up Maintain an accurate and actionable sales pipeline Run structured sales meetings and weekly progress check-ins Report sales performance, opportunities, risks, and corrective actions to company leadership Dealer acquisition, rep performance, and revenue growth are core expectations of the role. This Position Is a Good Fit for Someone Who Is motivated by revenue growth and measurable results Enjoys prospecting, negotiating, developing accounts, and closing sales Is comfortable leading from the front rather than simply assigning work Can coach salespeople while also holding them accountable Regularly looks for opportunities to increase customer spending Can identify performance problems and address them directly Understands that consistent follow-up is essential to sales success Uses numbers and activity data to guide decisions Is competitive, organized, persistent, and self-motivated Wants personal responsibility for the success of a sales department Required Qualifications Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, or sales leadership Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals Strong prospecting, negotiation, follow-up, and closing skills Experience coaching, directing, or managing sales representatives Ability to review performance data and create corrective action plans Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and pipeline-management skills Ability to work full-time and on-site in Waco, Texas Ability and willingness to travel for customer and prospect visits Preferred Qualifications Experience in the automotive aftermarket, motorsports, racing, or performance-parts industry Existing knowledge of performance shops, dealers, distributors, and automotive retailers Experience managing dealer or wholesale accounts Experience using a CRM to manage sales activity and opportunities Familiarity with automotive performance products and terminology A genuine interest in the automotive performance industry is strongly preferred. The Sales Manager must be able to communicate credibly with racers, dealers, engine builders, performance shops, and automotive enthusiasts. How Success Will Be Measured Success in this position will be based on: Total department revenue Month-over-month revenue growth New dealer acquisition Inactive dealer reactivation Growth within existing accounts Sales-representative performance Pipeline activity and follow-up Customer and prospect visits Improvement in the department's overall structure and consistency The successful candidate should establish activity within the first 30-60 days and produce measurable revenue improvement within approximately 90-120 days.
