Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and strategic Marketing Admissions Director. An Admissions Coordinator in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) manages the entire intake process, guiding new residents and their families through the transition. They balance patient care with the facility's financial goals by verifying insurance, evaluating clinical referrals, and ensuring regulatory compliance during onboarding. Core Responsibilities Referral & Intake Management Receive, screen, and process inbound referrals from hospitals, families, and community agencies. Review medical records and collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure the facility can properly care for the prospective resident. Financial Clearance Verify insurance benefits, including Medicare, Managed Care, and private payer sources. Ensure financial authorization and pre-certifications are completed prior to admission to minimize billing issues. Family & Community Relations Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and their families, answering questions about facility policies and programs. Build strong relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, and physicians to maintain a steady referral stream. Admissions Documentation Manage all admission paperwork, ensuring signatures are obtained and forms comply with state and federal regulations. Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, billing, social work) to ensure a smooth onboarding process for the resident.
Key Qualifications Experience:
1-3 years of healthcare administration, marketing, or admissions experience, specifically in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Medicare regulations, managed care, and medical terminology.
Skills:
Excellent communication, empathy for elderly residents, and proficiency with healthcare software systems
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
