JOB STATEMENT/SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Advocacy & Grants Management and is responsible for the independent development, coordination, and execution of marketing and community engagement strategies that promote the organization's providers, services, programs, and overall mission. Working with a high degree of initiative, professional judgment, and independence, the Marketing Manager designs, proposes, supports, and implements marketing plans that align with organizational goals while collaborating with leadership for strategic direction and approval. Through the use of market research, community engagement, performance metrics, and strategic planning, the Marketing Manager evaluates the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provides recommendations that support continuous improvement and organizational growth. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for ensuring consistent organizational branding across all marketing materials, communications, digital platforms, community outreach activities, and promotional efforts, maintaining a cohesive and professional image that reflects the organization's mission, values, and strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Develops, recommends, and implements comprehensive marketing, communication, branding, and community engagement strategies that support organizational goals, growth initiatives, and patient engagement. Researches market trends, community needs, patient demographics, and competitive factors to identify opportunities for growth, service promotion, and community engagement. Develops a comprehensive understanding of the organization's providers, pharmacists, services, programs, and specialties and leverages that knowledge to create effective marketing and outreach strategies. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with providers, pharmacists, organizational leaders, and staff to identify opportunities to promote services, expertise, and organizational initiatives. Ensures the SWVHS brand identity, messaging, and organizational values are consistently and accurately represented across all internal and external communications, marketing materials, digital platforms, signage, and promotional activities. Develops and manages advertising, digital marketing, public relations, and promotional campaigns designed to increase awareness, engagement, and patient acquisition. Creates and coordinates health education materials, promotional content, press releases, and other communications that support patient education and organizational objectives. Oversees website content, digital communications, and online presence to ensure information is accurate, relevant, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities. Oversees exterior building signage, internal promotional signage, and related visual communications to ensure consistency and brand compliance. Establishes and maintains relationships with local governments, city and town councils, schools, churches, chambers of commerce, civic organizations, businesses, and community groups to identify partnership and outreach opportunities. Evaluates community engagement opportunities and coordinates the participation of providers, pharmacists, leadership, and staff to maximize organizational visibility and impact. Represents the organization at community meetings, events, health fairs, business functions, and public engagements to strengthen community relationships and awareness of organizational services. Coordinates the planning and execution of marketing events, grand openings, outreach activities, educational programs, and corporate engagements. Manages sponsorship, donation, and community support requests in alignment with organizational priorities and community impact goals. Serves as the primary liaison for marketing vendors, promotional materials, branded merchandise, event giveaways, and related marketing resources. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, outreach, and digital engagement efforts using performance metrics and data analysis and provides recommendations for continuous improvement. Serves as a marketing resource and advisor to leadership and department managers regarding branding, communications, community engagement, and promotional opportunities. Participates in organizational planning, special projects, and crossfunctional initiatives that support strategic growth, operational excellence, and community impact. Develops annual marketing budget proposals, monitors expenditures, evaluates the effectiveness and return on investment of marketing initiatives, and makes recommendations to leadership regarding resource allocation and future investments. Leads the development, coordination, production, and distribution of the organization's annual report. Assists leadership with media outreach efforts, events, and press conferences. Assists leadership with preparation and distribution of press releases and maintain relationships with key media contacts. Creates and schedules content for all social medial platforms. Assists leadership within the community needs assessment communication project. Administer the Dr. Greg Elkins Scholarship Program, including oversight or applications, coordination of the Scholarship Committee, and management of award recipient selection and communications. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education (level and type) and Related Work Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, journalism, communications, or related field required. One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations preferred. Master's degree is beneficial but not required. Demonstrates success in building strong internal and external relationships.
