We are seeking a creative and strategic marketing professional who is excited to help tell our story, strengthen our brand, and lead the next chapter of our organization. With five diverse branch locations throughout our service area, we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and creative thinking. Because this is a brand-new role, a permanent office location has not yet been determined. Depending on the selected candidate and operational needs, this position may offer the flexibility to work from one of our branch locations or through a flexible work arrangement that best supports both the employee and the Credit Union. Marketing Manager Position Summary The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Credit Union's marketing, branding, communications, and community engagement strategies to increase brand awareness, promote products and services, strengthen member relationships, and support the Credit Union's strategic growth objectives. This position will provide leadership in planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated marketing initiatives across digital, print, social media, advertising, public relations, and community outreach channels. The Marketing Manager will collaborate with key personnel throughout the organization to develop marketing strategies that support business development, member acquisition and retention, financial education, and organizational goals. The position will be responsible for ensuring brand consistency, overseeing marketing campaigns, managing vendor relationships, analyzing marketing performance, and recommending innovative strategies that enhance the member experience and strengthen the Credit Union's presence within the communities it serves. The Marketing Manager will ensure all marketing and advertising activities comply with applicable federal and state regulations, NCUA advertising requirements, and Credit Union policies while demonstrating creativity, professionalism, and commitment to supporting the Credit Union's mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities 1. Serve as the administrator of the Credit Union's branding standards and ensure consistent implementation across all branch locations and departments. 2. Develop and maintain the annual marketing calendar, including product promotions, community events, financial literacy initiatives, and organizational communications. 3. Oversee the Credit Union's member surveys, satisfaction initiatives, and reputation management efforts, including monitoring online reviews and recommending service improvements. 4. Coordinate photography, videography, and multimedia content that supports marketing campaigns and organizational communications. 5. Measure and report the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of all marketing initiatives and recommend strategic adjustments based on performance data. 6. Evaluate emerging marketing technologies, artificial intelligence tools, and digital communication platforms to improve efficiency, member engagement, and operational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with Credit Union policies. 7. Represent the Credit Union at community, civic, business, and industry events to strengthen relationships and promote the Credit Union's mission and services. 8. Develop, implement, and manage the Credit Union's comprehensive marketing, communications, branding, and public relations strategies in alignment with the Credit Union's mission, strategic plan, and organizational objectives. 9. Plan, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns that promote Credit Union products, services, digital banking solutions, lending programs, financial education initiatives, and member growth. 10. Serve as the steward of the Credit Union's brand by ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and brand standards across all internal and external communications. 11. Oversee the Credit Union's website, social media platforms, digital communications, email marketing, intranet, and other communication channels to ensure content is accurate, engaging, current, and compliant. 12. Develop, write, edit, and oversee the production of marketing materials, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, press releases, videos, promotional campaigns, and other communication pieces. 13. Manage the Credit Union's public relations efforts by coordinating media relations, preparing public announcements, responding to media inquiries as appropriate, and developing positive relationships with local news and radio outlets. 14. Coordinate advertising placement and production with radio stations, newspapers, digital media providers, and other advertising partners to maximize marketing effectiveness and community awareness. 15. Plan and coordinate community outreach initiatives, sponsorships, financial education programs, charitable activities, business development efforts, and community events that strengthen the Credit Union's visibility and reputation. 16. Collaborate with internal leaders to develop marketing strategies that support organizational initiatives, new product launches, member acquisition, member retention, and employee engagement. 17. Analyze marketing performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), website analytics, social media engagement, campaign results, and member feedback; prepare reports and recommend strategies for continuous improvement. 18. Collaborate to create the annual marketing budget. 19. Establish and maintain productive relationships with advertising agencies, media representatives, graphic designers, printers, promotional vendors, community organizations, and other third-party service providers. 20. Maintain inventory and oversight of promotional merchandise, branded materials, marketing resources, and advertising assets. 21. Ensure all marketing, advertising, promotional, and communication activities comply with applicable federal and state laws, NCUA advertising requirements, privacy regulations, accessibility standards, and Credit Union policies. 22. Monitor industry trends, consumer behavior, emerging technologies, competitor activities, and marketing best practices to identify opportunities that strengthen the Credit Union's competitive position. 23. Support organizational reputation management by promoting a positive public image and assisting with internal and external communications during organizational changes, community events, or crisis communication situations as directed by Executive Management. 24. Participate in strategic planning, organizational initiatives, and cross-functional projects that support the Credit Union's long-term growth and member service objectives. 25. Collaborate and coordinate employee appreciation initiatives and events. 26. Participate in employment fairs. 27. Complete all required regulatory, compliance, cybersecurity, and professional development training within established timeframes and maintain current knowledge of marketing, communications, and financial industry trends. 28. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. This position will coordinate relationships with advertising agencies, media representatives, printers, promotional vendors, and other third-party service providers, while assisting with the monitoring of the annual marketing budget, and helping to ensure consistent implementation of the Credit Union's brand standards and communication strategies across the organization. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Education and Experience A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, advertising, digital marketing, journalism, or a closely related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, professional training, certifications, and progressively responsible experience may be considered. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, branding, public relations, advertising, business development, or a related field. Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns, managing digital and social media platforms, creating written and visual communications, coordinating community outreach initiatives, analyzing marketing performance, and managing vendor relationships is preferred. Experience within a financial institution or credit union environment is desirable but not required. The individual selected for this position must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and project management abilities, sound judgment, creativity, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while representing Long Reach Federal Credit Union in a professional manner. A commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to remain current with evolving marketing trends, technology, and applicable regulatory requirements is expected. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment but regularly requires travel to branch locations, community events, business functions, educational programs, community and employer events, and other off-site activities. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, use computers and other office equipment, and perform repetitive hand and finger movements associated with keyboarding and the use of technology. The position requires occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting or carrying promotional materials, event displays, supplies, or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. The employee may occasionally assist with setting up and dismantling displays, booths, or marketing materials for community outreach events. Work hours are generally conducted during normal business hours; however, occasional evening and weekend work, as well as local travel, may be required to support community events, business development activities, financial education programs, organizational meetings, and other Credit Union initiatives.
