Full-time Job Summary:
T3i provides experienced operational professionals to support defense programs that require deep warfighter credibility. The C2 Operations SME will provide critical support to the Government's enterprise war room command-and-control (EWRC2) program - a multi-domain, browser-based single-pane-of-glass capability consolidating sensors, effectors, and mission systems into a unified common operational picture (COP). Critical mission data includes space, air, ground, and maritime; air and missile defense; counter-UAS; and early-warning. The COP operates across multiple classification enclaves (e.g., SIPR, JWICS, partner networks) and across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises deployments. Mission continuity in contested and disconnected environments is a core capability of the system. The C2 Operations SME will receive training on the EWRC2 system and be embedded alongside government end users to ensure the system is employed to its full operational potential. The SME will work directly with end users on a daily basis and regularly engage with senior Government leaders to ensure maximum employment and impact of the EWRC2 system. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and respected professional with significant time inside an Air and Missile Defense (AMD), Joint Operations Center (JOC), Air Operations Center (AOC), or equivalent multi-domain C2 node, deep familiarity with mission command doctrine, and the soft skills to operate credibly alongside government users at all levels. Prior experience as an embedded contractor SME, field service representative, or new-equipment-training (NET) instructor is highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete certification training on the installed EWRC2 system; maintain the C2 Operator SME credentials required to provide embedded support throughout the life of the program Serve as the embedded C2 Operations SME, providing on-site, real-time support to government end users employing the EWRC2 system in daily operations, exercises, and contingency events Coach and mentor end users on operationally effective employment of the installed C2 system across the multi-domain COP - translating system capabilities into mission-relevant workflows for sensor fusion, threat correlation, decision support, and coordinated action across air, missile defense, counter-UAS, and early-warning domains Capture, document, and prioritize user feedback, system issues, and capability gaps; relay these to the prime contractor's team through established program channels to drive iterative refinements Adapt rapidly to continuous-delivery releases of the C2 platform - absorb new features and updated workflows, update end users and maintain operational continuity across release cycles Provide operational coaching on resilient employment of the system in contested and disconnected environments, including the use of graceful-degradation, local-cache/queue, and recovery behaviors built into the platform Support customer participation in joint exercises, wargames, and real-world operational events, providing reach-forward operator expertise during planning, execution, and AAR phases Operate effectively across the system's classification enclaves (e.g., SIPR, JWICS, partner networks as applicable), observing all cross-domain data handling and access requirements Produce clear, executive-ready written and verbal products - issue reports, user-feedback summaries, talking points, and briefings Maintain awareness of joint, air-and-missile-defense, counter-UAS, and broader multi-domain operations doctrine, TTPs, and emerging mission command concepts Professionally represent our team, building durable relationships with government users, prime contractor counterparts, and other partners to ensure mission success Adhere to all applicable policies on security, conduct, data handling, and program performance
Required Qualifications:
15 years operational experience in military environments Significant operational experience in joint or service-component C2 environments, including JOCs, AOCs, AMD operations cells, SOCCs, or equivalent multi-domain operations centers Demonstrated working knowledge of the joint planning processes (JOPP, MDMP, mission analysis, COA development, mission command, and AARs) Demonstrated experience supporting joint exercises, wargames, or experimentation events Experience with mission command and C2 systems Experience with multi-classification operations across SIPR, JWICS, and partner-network enclaves, and with cross-domain data handling considerations Proven ability to brief senior leaders (O-6 and above, or comparable senior government officials) on operational matters under pressure (time, mission criticality, risk, etc.) Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor - strong interpersonal skills, professional presence, and the judgment to coach, train, and advocate inside a customer environment Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (military science, national security studies, operations research, business, engineering, or related) OR 5 additional years of military operational experience in lieu of a degree Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to independently produce decision-quality written products (issue reports, talking points, AARs) Active U.S. Government TS security clearance with SCI eligibility at start
Preferred Qualifications:
Tours in JSOC, TSOCs, SOCOM, Service SOF components, GCCs, or MAJCOM HQs with multi-domain operations exposure Prior operational tour in an AMD, IAMD, counter-UAS, or air defense C2 environment Bachelor's or Master's degree in national security studies, strategic studies, operations research, business administration, or a related field Prior experience as an embedded contractor SME, field service representative (FSR), new-equipment-training (NET) instructor, or operational integrator on a defense program operating under a continuous-delivery release cadence Experience with modern enterprise C2 and COP environments Familiarity with unmanned systems, FPV/loitering munition concepts of employment, and the broader UxS operational ecosystem Why Join T3i? At T3i, our operational professionals are not seat-fillers — they are the reason customers ask for us by name. You will be embedded with real users on a real program, your operational judgment will shape how a multi-domain C2 capability is employed, and your feedback will reach the engineers building it. We are small enough that your work is visible, and serious enough that it matters. If you want to put your operational experience to work where it directly improves how the force fights, this is the place.
