Job Description

Palmer's is a family-owned market, catering, and events brand rooted in food, hospitality, and community. We're looking for an exceptional designer with a sharp eye, strong taste, and a genuine passion for branding and marketing. This role is ideal for someone who loves building beautiful, thoughtful creative across both digital and print. You understand that great design is not just about making things look good. It is about creating clear, cohesive brand moments that tell a story and connect with customers. As our lead designer, you'll help bring Palmer's to life across Palmer's Market and Palmer's Catering & Events. You'll work closely with the Director of Brand + Marketing to translate strategy into execution, while also owning projects independently and driving work forward with confidence. We're looking for someone who is proactive, communicative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities without needing constant direction. This is a highly collaborative role, but also one that requires initiative and ownership. The right person enjoys partnering with others, contributing ideas, and taking responsibility for delivering great work from concept through execution. Palmer's has the energy of a growing brand: fast-paced, hands-on, and full of moving pieces. Our marketing team is evolving, which means we are still building systems, workflows, templates, and creative processes as we go. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Email + Digital Design
  • Design polished, on-brand marketing emails across both lines of business
  • Build email layouts that feel editorial, seasonal, clear, and conversion-minded
  • Create digital graphics for web, social, paid media, and campaign rollouts
  • Support homepage graphics, digital ads, and other online brand touchpoints
  • Ensure email and digital assets feel polished, current, and on-brand Print + In-Store Design
  • Design in-store signage, menus, sell sheets, flyers, and customer-facing collateral
  • Support seasonal campaigns, merchandising moments, and branded displays
  • Create customer-facing print materials for the catering sales team, events, and off-site experiences
  • Prepare files for production with strong attention to detail, specs, and accuracy
  • Partner with vendors when needed to ensure quality and consistency Brand Systems
  • Help roll out and maintain Palmer's evolving brand identity
  • Create templates, design systems, and visual standards that make the team stronger
  • Ensure typography, layout, color, imagery, and hierarchy stay consistent across channels
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and creative files
  • Continuously look for ways to elevate the brand visually Campaign Creative
  • Translate creative direction into strong visual concepts and cohesive assets
  • Support seasonal marketing, holiday campaigns, and promotional initiatives
  • Design creative that works across email, digital, print, and in-store signage
  • Collaborate with the Director of Brand + Marketing to bring ideas to life with polish and purpose —
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 2-5 years of professional graphic design experience
  • A deep passion for branding, visual identity, typography, layout, and creative systems
  • Highly skilled in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience designing marketing emails, campaign graphics, and print collateral
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high personal standard for quality
  • Ability to take creative direction and run with it
  • Strong sense of organization, ownership, and follow-through
  • A love for food, hospitality, and lifestyle branding —
BONUS POINTS
  • Agency, corporate, or structured creative workflow experience
  • Experience with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar email marketing platforms
  • Understanding of digital design best practices and how designing for screen differs from designing for print
  • Experience building design systems, template libraries, or brand toolkits
  • Familiarity with print production and vendor coordination
  • Motion, light video, and/or photography experience —
